Decisions, decisions. Keep Zoey 101 on the air, even though series lead Jamie Lynn Spears is now the poster girl for teenage pregnancy, or pull one of cable's most popular youth-targeted series as a PR tactic? Nickelodeon thus far is opting for Plan A and sticking with its schedule to broadcast the remainder of Zoey 101's fourth and final season, which had wrapped production in September, says the Reporter.............."

So is being called a “slut.”

Maybe so but not by anyone I would associate with.

I don’t even watch these shows. I don’t even watch much TV. Life’s simply too short and these reality shows might be reality in blue states, but not in my world.

rewards come to those who work hard, follow the rules and live “good lives.”

LOL That's the easiest way to be a loser in life. The rules we have based our society upon are set up to reward the biggest bully, enrich the most cutthroat pirate, and celebrate the most infamous bastard.

Of course, the rewards given in this life are illusory. What counts is the eternal reward. Those who do the right thing in this life gain rewards that this world does not perceive. The reward is Jesus Himself. Even if we did not have a Heaven to hope for, just to know Jesus in the here and now would be enough — and far, far more than I deserve.

"Lay not up to yourselves treasures on earth: where the rust, and moth consume, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up to yourselves treasures in heaven: where neither the rust nor moth doth consume, and where thieves do not break through, nor steal. For where thy treasure is, there is thy heart also." — Matthew 6:19-21

When I was in junior high (1977-1979), the hot girls at my school all dated grown men, some of whom were in their thirties. These “boyfiends” had the cars, the cash, and the apartments we schoolboys lacked. Most of these girls’ parents didn’t know, or pretended not to know, but we boys all knew. The Boyfriend is the one in the new car who pulls up in front of the school when the last bell rings to pick up Honey Pie.

We used to gnash our teeth in jealousy, but there was nothing anyone could do. Girls are just like that.

There’s still a strong streak of Calvinism in this country.

That works just fine for me, but my fall back position will probably be preferable to what actually takes place.

Yes, I agree that many of the reality shows are way over the top.

Anti, you remark was vulgar and uncalled-for. Birth is always, per se, a sign of hope; the child, too, has his dignity and shouldn't be regarded as valueless.

Though the pregnancy is untimely and out of wedlock, I would be willing to wager $10,000 that every person on earth has unwedded ancestors. That means that none of us would even be here if those who came before us hadn't made the necessary sacrifices to accept and nurture their out-of-wedlock babies.

We all surely need to take a more respectful view of life.

Sith, you're a mensch. And to the little one: welcome to our world.

Glad you feel justified because after all the reading I still feel like I need to shower.

"...the Piety Crowd."

I don' know whether her obnoxious attackers are "the Piety Crowd." Piety implies reverence, and there's none of that in evidence here. As far as I can tell, they are just people who enjoy giving full rein to contempt.

Shower? Me, too. Some of the responses here are the verbal equivalent of spittle.

A position held conventionally or hypocritically.

It fits.

Well, maybe the boys parents are better than the Spears mom, and they could raise the baby.

Someone other than Jamie-Lynn, Britney, or their mom needs to raise the baby.
