If we are all dead due to our enemies.; that’s not quite the liberty I had envisioned.

C'mon, lormand, you know you want to donate to it. Just buy 10.4 minutes for only $100. It's a bargain and more fun than you've had in years probably.

There's always room for one more on our merry Blimp Of Death.
But don't write Fred's obituary just yet. I'm an RP guy but I certainly don't underestimate his chances, whatever the lamestream media says. He could pull a real surprise in Iowa and set the stage for later victories.

I would be willing to bet he wouldn’t INCREASE those things. I think he has a quite good grasp of the Constitution and the workings of the government, and is aware of the Presidential powers and their limits. And interestingly, I’m sure that reversing the trend of unitary executive doctrine at the same time.

...of widening cracks in our sense of nationhood ("Press one for English...")...Why would a single business drop "Press one for English..." if Paul was president?
I've noticed something paradoxical about victims of Paul Derangement Syndrome. They somehow believe that Paul is the answer to every issue plaguing us--which makes them more like liberals than conservatives in believing that government will solve our problems.

"something intelligent"
You've surmised that about Derbyshire too? Whenever I see Derbyshire's byline on NRO, I studiously avoid reading his comments as I'm positive it will be filled with his usual bloviating about stupid things. A while back John Podhoretz became absolutely fed up with Derbyshire's inanities, and had a flat-out argument with him on NRO's The Corner. I'm sure NRO regrets hiring Derbyshire.

"disparaging"
He's also made plenty of anti-Irish comments often referring to Ireland as a miserble country and by extension the Irish too. He's an embarassment to NRO.
To: George W. Bush
This would be a more appropriate vehicle for Ron Paul's message.....

That last comment is ridiculous. We need to leave our borders wide open to talk to our enemies??

No, we think “too much government” is the source of most of our problems. Ron Paul is the only candidate, on either side, that will reduce the size of government.

LOL! The blimp is one of the fascinating aspects of the RP phenomenon to me. It’s not part of the official campaign at all, but is a private venture with attendant controversy over what exactly is being done with the money. They’ve managed to raise about $300,000, which is pretty impressive for this kind of venture, but the ronpaulblimp.com website says they need another hundred thousand by today (12/21) to keep flying through the New Hampshire primaries. I wonder what will happen.

The author of the piece brought up “press one for English” which Paul couldn’t do anything about except through government interference.

"Why would a single business drop "Press one for English..." if Paul was president?"I don't have an answer for your questiion, but I have one for you:
Why does our government continue to offer incentives to people for entering this country illegally?
I am guessing you probably don't have an answer either, but I can offer this:
President Doctor Ron Paul will sign any bill that eliminates those incentives.
