"How bout NY, where smarmy chuckie has blocked appropriations for the current reinstatement program for YEARS ???"Reinstatement for what? Removal of firearm disabilities? Fed law says must for these mental cases, so Chucky's SOL, if that's what he's been doing.

Yes sir go to
http://thomas.loc.gov/ ( easy way thomas.com) it is a congressional record of everything other than closed door sessions including text, arguments, voting records, and of course the pork that gets attatched. Everything is of course public record and it is all there. Makes some pretty good reading at times! You can search but bill context or by number as in HR 000 for example for every single session of congress.

Gee, isn’t it already illegal to STEAL?
Are we now a nation of simpletons that pass idiotic knee jerk laws like this with no dissent?
Kind of like an Energy Bill that doesn’t produce any new energy.
We are sheeple being led by the real mentally ill.

I dont have the links, but the reinstatement argument has been proven to be the BS 'good' stuff in this bill, precisely because there already is a
mandated grievance procedure in current law that is slow played due to 'lack of funding'. the purse strings held by chuckie.
No different than arming pilots [or any other pro gun program], yeah they started processing and training requirements, but who forces them to do more than .0001% of a mandate ? who forces chuckie to play ball ???

Okay I would like to know how this is possible?
Eight of ten persons for mental health reasons have been disqualified but those records are not yet in the system? how did they get disqualified then? Missed felonies I don’t think so. There is a human error involved to a degree but the truth is being stretched just a little here. There is nothing your ssn number will not tell anybody including the FBI who is kidding who, shame on you Sara Brady.

"because there already is a mandated grievance procedure in current law that is slow played due to 'lack of funding'. the purse strings held by chuckie." the word must can't be ignored. If chucky's playing such games, the word may is probabbly not used. If the word must appears, the court would force chuky, or the legislature to remedy the situation.
The fed remedy for felons has been shut down by Congress, because hte word used for the remedy in the '68 GCA was may, not shall, or must.
"No different than arming pilots...
Again, there was no shall.

It can start with something as ordinary as getting suspended on FR. That's why I can no longer edit my profile...
I can't edit mine either but I never got suspended. What's up with that?

Why defines what constitutes mental illness? Considering pyschology is such a brittle and hazy subject, also Libs consider most of humanity to have some form of mental illness or the other.
This bill is rightly deceptive and can be easily used to seize guns from anyone.

I refer you to post #97, and #90. Do a search here on FR, many organizations (Vet groups) have addressed this. The GOA and NRA have also expressed deep reservations...

youre calling Bush a stupid idiot? No, the democRATS are. I'm just finding difficulty in disagreeing with them on this issue any more.
I keep thinking of a certain line from the movie, "Forest Gump".

All Americans in their right mind . . . agree that we should have a national concealed carry permit.
Criminals don’t bother with such things as licenses or permits, and free men and women are necessary to send them on their way.
A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
When you remove the people’s right to bear arms, you create slaves.
Free people do not ask permission to bear arms.

How about having the right to carry and shoot back!
No, the elites go the other route and want to further restrict our right to carry and protect ourselves.

I haven’t read the bill, but according to the article, “The bill would also allow those found to no longer be mentally ill and a threat to be removed from the list.”
But, being a skeptic myself, I wouldn’t take this at face value until I knew the details.
