Why Hillary Will Lose Iowa
American Spectator ^ | 12-19-07 | T. P. Carney

~~~snip~~~
This couple (they didn't want to be named, and so I'll call them Mr. and Mrs. Dubuque), were typical of the Democrats I talked to across the Hawkeye State last week. They were generally happy with all three of their party's front runners and determined to beat the Republicans. Mr. Dubuque had settled on Obama, but his wife was undecided, between Obama and John Edwards.
They weren't Clinton haters -- both of them liked her Senate record and would be happy to support her in November -- but it was clear to them Shaheen's comments, while couched as a fear of Republican dirty tricks, were a smear, and one typical of Hillary. The idea that she wasn't at all behind it was not credible to them.
Before I brought up Shaheen's comments, Mrs. Dubuque said she wouldn't caucus for Clinton. "Hillary's more of the same-old," she told me. "Everything's so ugly in Washington. We need a change, and I don't think Hillary is it." ~~~snip~~~
I'd love to be a Clinton "plant" at her next Q&A event. My question:
"Did you, Bill, or anyone acting on your behalf murder Vince Foster or Ron Brown?"
Any estimates on how long it would be before I was tossed through the nearest window?
These types of pictures of Mean Hillary Clinton have far more negative effect against her than Old Hillary Clinton Our side should focus on the mean, nasty, and unlikable Hillary Clinton than her old looks.
Pubbies should be planning to campaign against Obama.
I don't think so. Dems are virulently anti-black. They will nominate the silky pony if HILLARY! is knocked off.
The Drudge picture, the Iowa loss — I’m inclined to think they are all part of the Clinton Grand Design. Most Americans have lost a time or two in their lives. That’s why they root for underdogs and throw snowballs at top hats. Hillary knows that to reduce the Hate Factor, she needs to show that like any true champ, she can get back up after taking a drubbing. Hold on to your hats, folks, this is going to be a wild ride!
Uhhhh, because she’s positioned herself in the center, making her too far right for most of the lefty @$$clowns in Iowa?
All these Democrat candidates use such flowery speech while all the sheeple cheer. They say nothing but gullible Democrats love it.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I think I only watched one state of the union by BillyJeff and that was just so I could see if it was as absurd as I thought it would be. This was during the whole impeachment fiasco. It could have been produced by Seinfeld, it was truly a “show about nothing”. I don’t think there was one meaningful sentence in the whole insufferable charade. Sure enough, a couple of days later where I was working the subject comes up and a woman gushes to me about how amazing it was that he could do such a great speech while under all that pressure. With most Americans it matters not what is said, it is all about style. I think Clinton could have read the phone book, bit his lip and looked soulful and the Democrats would have swooned. Hillary does not have that same gift so I have a hard time seeing her elected but I had a tough time believing her husband won even once.
The fact of the matter is Iowa is relatively meaningless in the end, for both parties.
Forty percent of Americans say they would vote to keep Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton from winning the presidency, more than twice the total for their No. 2 "anti-" pick, former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani.
In a new Fox 5-The Washington Times-Rasmussen Reports survey, 64 percent of Republicans, 42 percent of third-party or independent voters, and 17 percent of Democrats said the candidate they most want to keep from the White House is Mrs. Clinton.
"Hillary Clinton is better known than any [other] presidential candidate on either side. She has a lot of people who love her and a lot of people who hate her," said Scott Rasmussen, who conducted the poll.
While Mrs. Clinton performed poorly among most demographics, younger male voters were particularly cold. More than half of the adult men younger than 40 said they would use their vote to keep Mrs. Clinton from returning to the White House.
Afterwards, Big Brown delivers the Sad Hill in her big brown and ugly pant suit to light up a meeting for her in Gilford, NH!
Then the Hill lights up the Gilford, NH Meeting with her charm and energy!
Hopefully the scenes below will happen early next year.
There is one little factor that the MSM has not mentioned, but has been raised by me, and others, on other threads. And there may not be many white voters who actually feel this way, but in a 50.1-49.9 world, you don't need many.
I'm referring to white voters who would never say this to a reporter, but will speak of it freely to family members and neighbors:
"I will not vote for a woman or a black" for president.
My blessed mother, who turns 80 in two weeks, said that very thing to me last week. She lived her entire life on the West Coast, and I've warned her many times on her choice of adjectives when speaking of minorities.
Her life experience was completely different from mine, such as the Depression, the Grapes of Wrath, WWII, etc. She was not at all pleased with the ladies that I dated, because of their ethnicity. It took her several years to be comfortable with my Hispanic wife.
Too many of us try to view past generations from the prism of their own life experiences. In my view, that's just plain wrong.
hehehe...remember a few weeks ago Streisand was suppose to come out for hilda...but then the old stories surfaced about her showing up at the WH when hilda was visiting her sick dad ..(seems babs and bubba tossed a few cigars) and hilda blew a casket when she found out......so.......
Streisand I guess is being held in reserve...*LOL*...or until they get the hollywierders to cough up a few million to ship off shore.
