The problem with live and let live is that it isn’t a realistic position as far as the left is concerned. Some people believe homosexuality is a sin that should be discouraged. Others believe it should be normalized so that homosexuals don’t feel bad. How can there possibly be a middle ground, since the mere mention of sin is hurtful? The left probably doesn’t mind if you’re a Christian so long as you don’t tell anyone about it.
I used to be the live-and-let-live type, too, until I had children. Once they were old enough to ask questions, I started thinking differently about the answers. Suddenly, my old arguments didn’t make sense anymore...
Agree 100%. “Live and Let Live” is a two-way street.
