You can’t “sue” someone into prison.

I’d like to see the Gang of 88 end up sleeping on the streets.
To: Locomotive Breath
Hope they win, doubt they will.

The suit also names doctors and nurses who treated the alleged victim the night she claimed she'd been raped at a party. Not sure I'm on board with this part. Depose as witnesses maybe, but sue? Not unless maybe they falsified evidence or something.
To: 1rudeboy
you can if you can prove she perjured herself to the grand jury, the indicted DA and perhaps even a conspiracy charge w/the DA.

doubt they will (win). I would bet it gets settled out of court.
The stipper/whore is a proved liar, Nifong has been fired and disbarred. Why would you say they will not win?

Won’t happen.
In the PC land of 2007 America, she is a triple-protected citizen:
Black, female and “mentally-disturbed”.

Are they suing the accuser, as well? Not much prospect of collecting anything from a penniless skank, is there?

When the North Carolina Attorney General declared the three indicted players innocent and he said that there was never any evidence that a crime had occurred.
It appears that certain medical personnel at Duke hospital put out information early on that she had “signs, symptoms and injuries consistent with being raped and sexually assaulted” which allowed the false prosecution to proceed.
