DURHAM -- In a filing Tuesday in Federal Court, unindicted Duke Lacrosse players are suing Duke University, the City of Durham, Duke University professors, Mike Nifong and the DNA lab involved in the case.
The suit also names doctors and nurses who treated the alleged victim the night she claimed she'd been raped at a party. The players are also suing City Manager Patrick Baker and former Durham Police Chief Stephen Chalmers. As part of the investigation, the unindicted players had to give up DNA samples and were named in the school paper.
In the 404-page lawsuit, the players say that Duke University, the City of Durham and the other defendants were part of a "conspiracy to railroad 47 Duke University students" based on "the transparently false claim of rape, sexual offense, and kidnapping made by a clinically unreliable accuser." Also in the lawsuit, the players say that the accuser's claim was "taken virtually from her lips and fashioned into a weapon in the hands of those who would leverage outrage."

Any other lawyer here want to hazard a guess as to what their cause of action is re the medical people?
What negligence is alleged on the part of the docs and nurses?
So she had an inflamed vagina due to multiple sexual episodes with multiple men for a few days. That could reasonable look like rape.
Well, as long as they are abandoning any pretense that it is not all about the money, I guess the decision sue everybody except the accuser makes sense.
Nothing is going to happen to Crystal. She’s pretty much been painted as a “victim” herself by the AG. I don’t expect that to change.

Might as well. They made up some of the “facts” in this case too.
Medical personnel assumed that she was raped, even though she changed her story back and forth while she was in their care.
Their decision to take her word for it and provide her with medical records that bolstered her claims could well be negligent.
Because she has the most beautiful blue eyes!

This will help. However, both Nifong and the slut should be in jail.
Nifong used the full power of the State to harass someone he knew was innocent. He called up the force of the police, armed, with mace, nightsticks and handcuffs to arrest innocent people. Nifong must go to jail for illegal kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon. The slut must go to jail for falsely accusing innocent men.
This would be wonderful.
I don’t think they have much of a case. Will likely be settled for a relatively small amount of money; $10-20,000 at most.
The boys sure did hire a cheap stripper. This girl isn’t worth what she was charging.
I hope the unindicted Duke LAX players ultimately prevail in their lawsuit. It will set a great precedent for other unindicted, totally innocent persons like Hillary Clinton who have been falsely accused of crimes and called vicious names by R party activists.
