ORANJESTAD, Aruba - Authorities have closed the investigation into the disappearance of Natalee Holloway and do not have evidence to charge anyone, the prosecutors' office said Tuesday.

The three young men who were last seen with the Alabama teenager have all been notified that they will not be charged, the Public Prosecutor's Office said.

"The public prosecutor's office and the police have gone the extra mile and have exhausted all their powers and techniques in order to solve the mystery of the disappearance of the girl," it said.

The three suspects — a Dutch college student and two Surinamese brothers — were seen leaving a bar with Holloway the night she disappeared in May 2005. Police re-arrested them last month in a last-ditch effort to solve the case, but prosecutors said the men did not provide any new information under interrogation

One of the suspects, Joran Van der Sloot, has said he left her alone on a beach the night she vanished but does not know how she vanished.

If he is innocent, this single act left him in a world of hurt over the last two years. (And may have led directly to her murder.) Young men, never abandon a girl alone on a beach or other public place late at night.

Then again, he may be guilty as sin and is getting away with it.

Apparently, in Aruba it is not safe for a drunk 18 year old girl to leave a bar with total strangers.

The case of the Idiot Bimbo....will this story ever go away?

Sheesh. A little rich girl went to another country, got drunk, did drugs, and left a bar with three strange men...and disappeared.

I’m supposed to care about this because.....

What bar is?

That was my point. What happened in Aruba could just as easily happen in any town in America when intoxicated high school girls leave bars with total strangers.

People should consider such things when making vacation plans. What is the Law and Order situation like where you are going? How much can you count on the police?

Some destinations are worth it, of course.

The Van der Sloot’s gambled a lot and I suspect Natalie was kidnapped and sold to some sex slave group (Venezuela is only 30 minutes away and beautiful blonde girls would bring top dollar) to pay off their debts. That’s why they could never find any trace of her. Just a thought.

Young men, never abandon a girl alone on a beach or other public place late at night.

It is your job to get her home safe to her family, no matter how uncomfortable that may be. I sat through some pretty awkward breakfasts in my youth, I'll tell ya'.

But I never left a girl to fend for herself. Never.

I know. I simply have no sympathy for idiots like this one. I do feel a bit sorry for her parents...but thats it.

Sad isn’t it...

Kinda but they botched that case from the beginning. Those three guys should not be held accountable for murder if they did not commit it.
