Sounds like Pelosi’s got herself into a quagmire of her own, and cut and ran instead of trying the surge.

I was going to say that it’s amazing that this woman still doesn’t get it: the War in Iraq is over; the good guys (US) won, the bad guys (al queda and Dems) lost. But, really, it’s more than amazing; it’s frigtening. To think that someone as obtuse and uneducable is the Speaker of the US House of Repesentatives should send chills up the spine of every freedom-loving American.

that we have not done more to end this war,

I want the war ended, too, Miss P, but the only dead war is a won war.

Pelosi used the term “miscalculated”. To calculate, one needs a brain. Ergo, she can never miscalculate. Perhaps she can just shake her thingie at some male and attempt to fool him into assuming she is capable of conscious thought. Worked before...she is a “public servant”.

“The grassroots are justifiably disappointed and I am too that we have not done more to end this war,” Pelosi said.

We are doing what we need to do to end this war - get rid of the bad guys. Not too hard to figure out.

It’s called “convictions”, and I completely understand why someone like you would have trouble wrapping your brain around the concept, Nancy-boy.

The Jihad has been going on for 1350+ years, (almost as old as the wrinkles on you butt!) The Iraq War, by normal definitions is OVER, DONE, and we WON! The Jihadist threat continues and you haven’t a clue. Get outta the way!

Can’t the woman count? She had less of a majority to work with than Newt had in 1995. If the voters were against the war in November, 1996, it was because things were going badly in Iraq. She bet the farm on the failure of the “surge.” hoping to break away some pubbies before the Surge really began in June? I’ll give Boehner credit. He will make an effective speaker if we win in’08.

Nancy miscalculated the determination of Americans to win. If she were in fact an American, she would understand.

Typical of libs in congress.

They only listen to the nuts in their district and themselves in DC.

If Nancy had driven away from GayFrisco or LA, she would have heard the real American people.

She tried to push the Dixie Chick Marketing strategy in Congress and that has turned around and bitten her botoxed bottom.

So,the Republicans are wrong and incapable of being enlightened?

In her view, there is one side to every argument.

The resolve of the GOP in Iraq is not the result of a “calculation”. It comes as a realization that defeat is not an option. Not everything is political Nancy.

she had underestimated the willingness of Republicans to stand behind President Bush’s Iraq policy

No. She misunderestimated the American people's recognition that we must defeat and destroy the thug islamofascist terrorists, and she also misunderestimated the American military's courage, strength, skill, and determination.
