WHY GIULIANI NEEDS A MIRACLE (go ahead, Rudy--wanna try kicking so/con Repubs to the curb, again?)
NY POST ^ | December 18, 2007 | RICH LOWRY

Posted on 12/18/2007 6:17:18 AM PST by Liz

--SNIP--Giuliani is finally suffering from the natural gravitational pull of his messy personal life (as mayor, he financed a security detail for his mistress) and his ideological heterodoxy (especially on social issues).......it has dragged him down to a level where it is no longer an invisible force.

His supporters thought that he'd bump up in the NH polls once he started advertising. But since Nov 10 he's spent more than Romney and McCain, and Giuliani's numbers have, if anything, declined slightly.

Pundits speculated that the WOT was the new social issue, more important to Republicans than abortion or gay marriage.........over the weekend Giuliani went to Florida to try to relaunch his campaign with a speech on his "12 commitments".....

He didn't mention the one about reducing abortions........

That’s why it’s usually discouraged. LOL.

He’s still the front runner - look at USA Today.

Rooty Toot is probably going to have a Howard Dean moment in the very near future.

I’m all for discouraging adultery. I’m just not a big fan of such...imagery.

Then again Bob Sagett used to make his living off that Home Video Show where the biggest draw was watching people get kneed in the crotch.

Why is he still ahead in most polls?

He's not ahead (in most cases he's not even second) in ANY of the polls that actually matter (Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina).

I'll be glad when this liberal RINO scumbag pulls out of the race and is no longer in the news.

Thank God we, and other true Conservatives, sounded the warning early on (like in numerous Vietnam war movies), "SAPPERS ARE IN THE WIRE!".

Hopefully, the "testing of the waters" by LIBERALS will cease to exist in future Republican races, since scumbags like RINO-rudy are thrashing about and drowning (and will go under for good, we hope) in a sea of despair.

As Rooty "humbly" said at the Iowa debate: "I'm just a really great 9/11 guy, a 9/11 hero who made a lot of mistakes, but everything was revealed and transparent in my hugely successful 9/11 mayoralty when I smashed the Mob, Wall Street fraud, taxes, crime, squeegee men and litter 9/11."

====================================

Too bad Rooty missed the signals about the terror attack----to Rooty, getting sexually blitzed was more important.

The WTC had already been attacked but Mayor Rooty placed a prime terror target--the city's emergency response center--in the WTC, which was just around the corner from his mistress.

Demand the RNC kick Rudy out at once

On what grounds? He didn't break the rules of the party. You can't just boot out whoever is inconvenient. That's what the primary process is for. And if you don't like it you can leave the party.

Seriously, the Giuliani Derangement Syndrome from people on this board is bordering on Democrat levels, and it seems that it goes straight up to the top. He's not my guy, but yes, I'd still take him over Mike Huckabee.

Dante is an historic author of epic dimensions. We're talking classic literature, here.

Sean Hannity was trying to prop him up last night on his show.

I have been a fan of Hannity over the years, but I finally broke down last night and emailed him that I have since lost all respect for him.

I doubt that he even saw it.

I haven't read The Inferno in atleat 10 years, so I guess I missed that key detail. I do remember that traitors have the worst time in hell....

As the truth about Huckabee starts to sink in, I don’t see his supporters gravitating to Rudy. I see Fred as the natural beneficiary of the Huckster’s implosion.

Every book on military strategery ever written and any general in the past several thousand years, will tell you that you place your command center in the SAFEST possible place you can while still being close enough to where you need to be -- you DON'T put it in the middle of the target.

The biggest lesson from the 1993 WTC bombing was the need for a comprehensive evacuation plan. As mayor, Rooty had seven and a half years to develop such a plan. This was NEVER done. The reality is that in many countries, especially in times past, Rooty would have been executed for dereliction of duty.

Hannity has taken EVERY possible opportunity for at least the past year to plug Rooty.

I agree. I feel that a big reason that Huck had his 'surge' was the fact that many conservatives were looking to ANYBODY but the LIBERAL Rudy!!!

Nice try.

The lowest point in Hannity's career was the Resurrection Job he tried on Rudy/Judy. The two had flopped bigtime on ABC's 20/20 interview with Bwabwa Walters saying bimbo Judy was going to sit in on Cabinet meetings.

This cockamnie idea was met with such scorn and derision, the two morons had to get Sean to give then a half hour to let Judy deny deny deny she EVER wanted to sit in the Cabinet.

I hope that Fred is the beneficiary, but it does at least knock out one of Rudy's competitors. I don't want to see Rudy win the nomination for many reasons, most of which have to do with his liberal side, but the prospect of the Democrats going up against him is scary - he has so much baggage, the Democrats would destroy him in the general election.

‘Seriously, the Giuliani Derangement Syndrome from people on this board is bordering on Democrat levels’

Yep. And like you, I won’t vote for Guiliani.

Each candidate has a group of supporters, and detractors.

They all also have, in relation to their standing in the polls, some seriously deranged types ranting and raving, day after day after day. These types can’t post a serious political commentary without resorting to the most juvenile, assine comments....its verging on a mental illness with some of them.

Ya gotta wonder what its going to be like next year, when this stuff gets magnified as we begin the election process ‘for real’.

I’ll keep watching, for the same reason we all slow down passing car wrecks....(chuckle)
