'Another Lying Ex-governor from Arkansas in White House?'
National Ledger via News By Us Blog ^ | November 16, 2007 | John W. Lillpop

Most Americans recall all too well the turmoil and discord of the Clinton Presidency of 1992-2000. While in office, President Clinton fine tuned the art of issuing misleading, inaccurate and flat out false statements into a precise science.

The unvarnished truth is that President Clinton lied through his teeth, regularly and unashamedly.

Perjury and obstruction of justice eventually caught up with President Clinton, as he was ultimately stripped of his license to practice law and forbidden from arguing before the U.S. Supreme Court, at least temporarily.

Fifteen years after the Democrat ex-governor from Arkansas lied his way into the White House, the Republican party has its own silver tongued, double talking “bubba.”

That would be Mike Huckabee, another ex-governor from Arkansas who finds the truth devilishly elusive, or downright disgusting to be more precise.

Mike Huckabee has been caught in a real whopper, even by the standards for deceit set by Bill Clinton.

Apparently, Huckabee lied about having a degree in theology.

WND: http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59222

The mind boggles: An ordained Baptist pastor and first-tier presidential candidate lied about having a degree in theology! What in the hell is this nation coming to?

Even more distressing is Huckabee’s record while serving as the CEO of Arkansas. This governor raised taxes and encouraged illegal immigration, for heaven’s sake!

And now he is running as the candidate best suited to meet conservative expectations in 2008?

God, please, spare America and her people from another lying ex-governor from Arkansas in the Oval Office!

Make that “God, please, spare America and her people from another lying ex-governor from Arkansas, or female spouse thereof, in the Oval Office!”

I can’t believe these endorsements he’s gotten...didn’t these people check him out before endorsing this wimp, fake and liar. Didn’t they pray before this endorsement. If they’d prayed they wouldn’t have endorsed him.

I just think he sucks.

Neener, neener, neener.

His policies on Illegal immigration and other things are just plain bad. But this foolishness about his undergrad degree being in divinity or theology or Bible or pastoral ministry or religion ... is just dumb. He has a degree in the study of God, as opposed to the study of other things. On Hugh Hewitt's show tonight, I caught Hugh trashing Huckabee because Huckabee indicated that Iran could be someone we could deal with eventually. Hugh was saying that Huckabee was wrong, that we in effect should just nuke Iran out of existence. Hugh, and other Huckabee-haters, have lost their minds! Most of Iran loves the U.S. It's the leadership that hate us. Once they're out of the way, Iran will be a good friend of the States. Better than Pakistan and other ME countries. But Hugh's hatred for Huckabee has him demonizing everything he says, even the sensible things. May be not be like Hugh and lose our minds for the Mormon RINO. Again, I want to see Thompson or Hunter win the nomination. I'm no Huckabee defender. But I am a defender of truth and civility. Things lacking this time around. Even, unfortunately, among FReepers.

Huckabee went out of his way to pen an article in January/February where he tried to destroy GW’s handling of the WOT / foreign policy and used vitriol in his wording. He sounded more like a democrat than a republican. Every major conservative has been talking about this. Screw Huckabee, hateful vitriolic little man.

So you’re voting for the other RINO, hm? Nice. I suppose I could think of some nasty little phrases for the Mormon candidate. But I won’t, because that won’t contribute to the conversation.

Then talk the facts about that article! Don’t resort to childish name-calling and demonization based on a college degree! Sheesh!

Get the REAL news out about Huckabee. Not this silliness about degrees and his being in support of the people of Iran.

I feel sorry for Chuck Norris. Chuck is a staunch conservative, Christian and all around decent man. He jumped on the Huck wagon too early, hoping for a true conservative to stop Hillary/Obama. With the things that have come out in just the last few days, I would not be surprised if Chuck was regretting his endorsement.

What a stupid thing to denounce Huckabee on. He has a degree in Religion. That’s essentially — ESSENTIALLY — the same as Theology.

Not even close. It's like having a degree in biology and claiming you have a degree in medicine. It's BIG lie because Huckabee knows full well the difference.

Beyond that, he's claimed he has an MA (Master of Arts) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary when if fact he has no degree from that institution whatsoever.

He's a con artist.

“What if he becomes the nominee? Can we all say “never mind” to our slander and get behind him? Or will we stand arrogantly with our former judgment of him and allow Hillary to gain the White House.”

Huck wants to attack Pakistan,
appease Iran,
close Gitmo.

Huck has compared the President to Hitler with his “bunker” smears.

Explain to me again, why any American should vote for another Arkansas Governor?

I’d really like to know.

If the rabid anti-Huckster had said he wasn’t entirely honest, instead of going into a ridiculous comparison with Bill Clinton, he might have an ounce of credibility.

This is what the Huckster said in the article:

“I have a Bachelor of Arts in religion and a minor in communications in my undergraduate work,” Huckabee answered. “And then I have 46 hours on a master’s degree at Southwestern Theology Seminary. So, my degree as a theological degree is at the college level and then 46 hours toward a masters – three years of study of New Testament Greek, and then the rest of it, all in seminary was theological studies, but my degree was actually in religion.”

Reasoning is not important here. He who yells the loudest wins the argument at FR now-a-days it seems.

Where — SPECIFICALLY — does Huckabee claim “he has an MA (Master of Arts) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary”? Be specific. I want a quote from Huckabee himself, or a reference on his personal website. Not a screwed up bio put together by an underpaid reporter.

IMHO, I’m starting to wonder if Huckabee is the AntiChrist. He’s just creepy. Do a Google search...very interesting.

You sure are doing a lot of defending of Huck, considering you CLAIM you support other candidates for POTUS. Yeah, I believe that.

You are ignorant. Meaning that you are ignoring truth in favor of your hatred for Huckabee.

Where has he said that he wants to “appease Iran,” for example? No, he’s said that he sees a day when we could work with Iran. And I believe that day is coming. They are the most “Western” of those ME countries, the population likes us more than any other ME country. It’s only the leadership that hates us. I think that country could soon become our good friend.

Is Hitler the only one to have “bunkers”? Okay....

What I’m saying is don’t call Huckabee Satan. He’s not. He’s got some bad policies, but he’s not the Devil. He’s not Clinton. He’s better than some of the other Republican candidates, and better than all the Democratic ones.

Hate. Hate. Hate. Hate. And vitriol. Hate. We love it at FR. Hate.

I've posted them here at FR several times. You've seen them. The bios are spread all over the Internet. Huck provided the information never thinking he'd be caught out--or convinced that hoodwinked knobs like you would never hold him accountable.

Huck is the cleverest and slickest liar since Bill Clinton. What is in the water in Hope, Arkansas, anyway?

“Screw Huckabee, hateful vitriolic little man.”

Huck drew first blood when he attacked the President during a time of war.

Americans don’t like that kind of crap.
