Larry Bourbonnais, who was slightly wounded during last week's shootings at New Life Church, was ejected Sunday from the same church for alleged aggressive behavior.
"I took a bullet for members of this church," he was heard to shout as he was hustled out of the Colorado Springs worship complex by security guards.
The Rev. Brady Boyd said the church has petitioned for a restraining order against Bourbonnais, who tried to stop Matthew Murray's killing spree.

If you really think the way to stop an active shooter is for an unarmed civilian to run around swearing at him and trying to get a guard's gun, you might want to run that by a LE or security professional and get a second opinion. If you think that sitting behind a barrier clutching your gun and peeing your pants is the best way to handle it then you might want to run that by an LE or security pro and get a second opinion.

Isn’t this the guy who said he yelled at the gunman to distract him while the woman came up behind him? Has there been any independent verification of that?

If this is the guy I saw interviewed on Fox News Channel, He said he tried to take a gun from a security oficer to go after the perp.
Remember the old security guard in Quick Change with Bill Murray being interviewed afterward by the cops and telling them that he tried to go for the gun but the clown cold-cocked him?

The Rev. Brady Boyd is presiding over a twisted church. Normal churches don’t eject members except for grossly immoral behavior.

I think he gave a slightly different account, but I have not seen any independent verification of his story.

Well, we really don’t have many facts to go on here, do we?

"
A non denominational church with 10,000 members.
Sorry, to me this is a business folks, and not one interested in the benefits of the afterlife." Amen! There's no way that a club with 10,000 members is a real church.

I’m still working through a church with an armed guard contingent.
Beginning to sound like Scientologists what with all the security and legal beagels and such.

I think that the police did her a big favor by stating that he killed himself. Saves her from potential wrongful death suits from greedy family members.

“Ditto.”
Well, we only have his (Larry’s) word on how he handled the crises, don’t we? Maybe the church has some information that we don’t, and they don’t want to embarrass Larry further? I wonder why no one has come forward to congratulate Larry. Could it be that he is a self-promoter?
To: nicmarlo
I haven’t been following this latest story... but it seems odd. Right now it seems no one is saying much about it, but maybe we’ll hear more later. I know there was one FReeper who goes to this church, are there any others?
To: marktwain
You seem to assume many things not in evidence. How do you know that no one has congratulated him? Because the thugs grabbed him?
