I'm not sure I agree with the adjectives and nouns in the sentence, but the idea is correct. I recall alarmist "population explosion" extrapolations made during the 60's. We can find other examples of people being alarmist over extrapolated trends

Notice how theyve stopped using the phrase global warming, and the new phrase is climate change? Theyre now covered whichever way the data goes Maybe they should just start calling it "manbearpig" instead.

Its a given that they will claim its all our fault, but what will they call it?
I'm guessing "global climate stagnation". You heard it here first.

In 1996 Nature Magazine showed how a new ice age was forming and that it would be far more destructive then warming. If you get carbon credits for heating, what will Al Gore sell for cooling? Ice cubes?LOL! Iced tea. It worked for him at the Hacienda Heights fundraiser in California. He'll claim to be a patriot, by having you throw your teabags into the chilly water.

Algore will be deeply saddened, of course. He and his global warming followers will just make up some new satistics to dupe the suckers for this stuff. ;-)

Good point IF all they were measuring were Atlantic temps. However these are global ocean temps, so your comments have no merit whatsoever.

every time there is a winter, it is all GWBush’s fault.

Stop global warming...cooling... change!

If the oceans get hot, its due to global warming! If the oceans get cool, it’s due to global warming! You AGW acolytes are ridiculous.

Any good leftist would tell you that not calling Gore on his carbon footprint is a “good investment” in the future of the earth, because he’s doing so much to “raise awareness”.

Good point, but I make it 4400 lbs, more than 2 tons.

So in other words, temperatures can move up and down in normal cycles?
What would really scare me would be global cooling. That would be a very bad thing for most of Europe.
I think I saw a study that linked the worst periods in European history with long periods of cooling.
When you look at the latitudes of Europe, much of it is comparable to Canada.

Yeah, a lib friend of mine (who has the biggest SUV around short of a Hummmer) told me it was not what we do individually, it’s what we do politically.

"This is actually proof that the ice caps are melting. Lot of very cold water off Greenland now which is affecting the Gulf stream. If the Gulf Stream is slowed or stopped all together, expect a mini Ice Age in Europe." Hate to break it to you but the entire Arctic Ocean is frozen solid right now. And the low ocean temps are due to La Nina.

Explain how 1,200 lbs of Jet A gets converted to 40 tons (80,000 lbs) of carbon dioxide in a hour? I think you need to correct your graphic. My estimate is that 1,200 lbs of Jet A would produce to about 470 lbs of carbon dioxide (at standard altitude & temperature).
