Rudy Giuliani has female problems - poll (tax-paid mistress, dumped wife-kids, termed "rotten")
DAILY NEWS ^ | Sunday, December 16th 2007 | HELEN KENNEDY, DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Posted on 12/17/2007 3:50:38 AM PST by Liz

--SNIP--Giuliani's messy personal life is a big turnoff to women voters....causing the public humiliation of his second wife, tax-paid bodyguards for his girlfriend and a frosty relationship with his kids: It all makes wives and moms around the country skeptical of putting him in the White House. "If he can't control his personal life, I just don't see how he can control the country," said a Lucas, Kan housewife.

Fifty % of women overall - and 48% of GOP women - said that Giuliani dumping second wife Donna Hanover at a 2000 press conference would make them less likely to vote for him. "Rotten" is a word that came up again and again in interviews. "I thought that was lousy. He should have gone to her first.....If anyone was cheating on me, I wouldn't want to hear it from anybody else - especially not the press, said an upstate resident."

Some said Giuliani's assigning taxpayer-funded bodyguards/drivers to his girlfriend while his wife was still NYC's First Lady was even worse. "That's ridiculous! What was he thinking?" While the collapse of Giuliani's second marriage arouses strong feelings on all sides, women see the Clinton marriage through a partisan prism. Hillary's motivations for staying married were skewed strongly by party....Democrats saying it was for love, Republicans for ambition. 569 female registered voters were surveyed.....with a margin of error of 4.1%.

Rudy has built a image of a tough guy.

However he is quivers at the sight of Judith and submits of whatever demand she makes of him, infact Rudy is so subservient to Judith that she seems to be calling the shots.

Is he really tough as he claims he is, if a man cannot even go against his wife how can he be trusted to take on the Islamic terrorists and their allies.

Rudy Has 'Female Problems'

'Female Problems', huh?
I always knew there was something 'odd' about him. And now I know why he dodged the draft - he really ain't a 'guy'.

It also explains his penchant obsession with playing dress up and that 'cute' lisp of his.

This article is really tough on Rudy. I’m not saying he didn’t treat his wife terribly, but I’m wondering if this author said similar things about Bill Clinton’s infidelity in the White House. That said, I doubt if Rudy will get the nomination.

Truth is truth no matter the messenger, Statenisland.

Rudy's got no class and fantastically poor judgment.

This article is really tough on Rudy.

The article is NOT what a reporter thinks about Rooty----- it's about what those polled think about Rooty.

Rudy's adultery does seem to make it more permissible to talk about the subject today----whereas in Clinton's day it was cosidered "judgemental" amd "politically incorrect" to mention his serial adultery.

MORE BACKGROUND Giuliani firm has Venezuela ties

The law firm headlined by presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani does business with a company tied to Venezuelan leader Hugo Chávez, who has called President Bush ``the devil.'' Bracewell & Giuliani lobbies on behalf of Texas-based Citgo Petroleum, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Venezuelan oil company controlled by Chávez. The Bush administration said last year that Venezuela was ''not cooperating fully'' with antiterrorism efforts, stopping one step short of grouping the country with state sponsors of terrorism like Iran, Syria and Cuba. Giuliani, the former New York City mayor best known for his leadership after the Sept. 11 terrorism attacks, does not personally lobby for Citgo, though he is a senior partner at the firm and shares in its profits. I suppose that if Helen Kennedy and the Daily News came out against cancer, you would come out FOR cancer!

Not surprising that someone from the Old Garbage Dump aka Palermo-on-the-Arthur-Kill would come out for Rooty. LOL!

Hanover was certainly embarrassing to Rudy, too. Her part in a reading/performance of the Vagina Monologues comes to mind. There were other examples.

Frankly, to be fair, if we are going to entertain the possibility of Rudy being a rotten husband and father, we have to be at least open to the possibility that Hanover was a rotten wife, and that his kids are rotten children.

The women polled in this instance don’t seem to have that clarity and lucidity of thought. Are most women so unable to think issues like this clearly?

I recently saw Hillary described as America's ex-wife. It seemed to me to be the perfect description of Hillary.(hence my tagline). Perhaps the same label could be effectively attached to Rudy.

“I’m not sure what you’re getting at. Is it that you think Rootie is NOT and anti-gun pro-abortion, special rights for gays, guy who had more problems keeping it in his pants than slick Willie, and used taxpayer funds to facilitate his adulterous relationships? Or is it just that you object to this being brought up repeatedly?”

I am merely objecting to using, as a “credible” basis for discussion, any article by Helen Kennedy - no matter what message she is trying to deliver. We would normally barf at her stuff and she is never objective.

Just because she happens, in this case, to reflect the prevailing mood here at FR, to cite her is disingenuous, imo.

The reasons Ms. Kennedy doesn’t want Rudy to get the nomination is diametrically opposed to the reasons Freepers don’t want Rudy to get the nomination. Unless we are here subscribing to the adage “the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” I don’t know how we could ever be sympathetic to, or in concert with, the writings of Helen Kennedy.

You know what they say about blind hogs. Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then. As far as her motives - doesn't matter - Rootie is scum whose "positions on most things are the same as Mrs Clinton's"
