North Carolina ping
Lambs don’t shoot back,we do.
There is no reason why these people should not be able to kill an animal and eat it. The judge is an idiot, and the ruling should be appealed.
On the other hand, if the reason is not “cruelty to animals” but rather a public sanitation concern, I can understand. From what I can tell, that seems to be the more likely reason for the ban.
The meat is not distributed for public consumption. The animal is consumed and eaten during the celebration.
Ever go to a pig roast? That would fall under the same ruling.
You do know that christians slaughter cows, chickens, pigs, and turkey right? Where do you think your steak comes from? If they can’t slaughter these lambs, then whats to stop them from preventing a hunter from shooting and gutting a deer in his barn?
i was in a local pub this summer talkin with a lady from SWEDEN visiting here. She told me she jogged a mile every morning using the same route. She added she abruptly changed her route a week earlier. She said she changed her route the day after she jogged by the local islamist center and in the gutter lay the head of a lamb...i found it hard to believe her....i don’t find it so hard to believe now...
Or farmers and ranchers from selling oven ready steaks, chopped meat, and sausage.
“Slaughter” must not be the form of killing animals in meat packing plants.
Since when did our constitution protect the rights of non-humans. Animals have been considered the property of humans for all of human history - and the owner of each animal had the right to choose how it was exploited, barring damaging some OTHER persons property.
What changed?
Technically you are right, since Christianity wasn’t founded until Christ came into the world as man. I was thinking of figures like Abraham who are mentioned in the Bible and who worshipped God, and incorrectly labelling them Christians.
I should have said NON-MUSLIMS have historically sacrificed animals.
I’m not a dude. The lamb is consumed. The lamb has NOTHING to do with a woman marrying a muslim and falling victim to shariah.
>>>During a pig roast the pig is usually already dead and it does not suffer.
???? What the heck do you mean the pig is already dead? Was it never alive? The pig is killed and gutted before it hits the barrel fire.
>>State agriculture officials said the Rowes must build a custom slaughter facility. The two men say that would cost $740,000. State officials said mass slaughters conducted any other way are unsanitary and threaten an outbreak of disease.<<
I like to see myself as a very black and white thinker. Your quote from the article clears it up. My previous post was born of ignorance of this part of the article.

THE REAL REASON FOR ANIMAL IDENTIFICATION
“It is a sickining scene”
No one ever said slaughtering is a pretty job. In fact I don’t like to kill my animals, but I do. I eat meat.
I read where the American Indians would feel guilt and would give a prayer of thanks to the animal they killed. I also feel some guilt when I kill one of the animals I’ve raised and cared for, but I like meat.
As I read that article it reminded me of this:
Revelation 13: 16-18
He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666.
And where was the pig before Krogers? And not all pig roast involve Krogers.
I’ve heard that impression too. No matter what the perception of NAIS is, never let anyone have a monopoly on the food source.
