I have now twice seen a Democrat “strategist” (hate that word) named Sasha Burns. She is the most despicable human being on the planet. She cannot talk without sneering. Just jaw droppingly nasty.

William Safire has done a whole column on that word in the New York Times Sunday Magazine. “Political advisor” replaced “campaign manager” and is now being replaced by “strategist”, acc. to Safire.
Apparently, like so many other appellations, when the thing being described is not real nice, the name for it keeps getting changed.
