The Talk Shows
Sunday, December 16th, 2007
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Former Sen. George Mitchell, D-Maine, author of a report on performance-enhancing drugs in baseball; Reps. Pete Hoekstra, R-Mich., and Jane Harman, D-Calif.; Ted Leonsis, owner of the National Hockey League's Washington Capitals.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn., and Edwards.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C.; former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Edwards; Sens. Joe Biden, D-Del., Kit Bond, R-Mo., and Evan Bayh, D-Ind.
For the first time in a number of years, CO will have an outspoken and proud conservative running for Wayne Allard’s senate seat against a very liberal, proven, Mark Udall. The MSM keeps hinting of CO going left and I think the Dems are in for a surprise next year.
Good morning everyone!
First off, an announcement regarding this week’s awards: I thought I was going to be able to post the awards on time this week but unfortunately I have run into some network problems (I had to travel yesterday) and I had to throw out my network cable, which I need to connect. I’ll post the awards tomorrow when I get access to a wireless broadband connection at the local library. Apologies for the delays.
Now... on to the preview.
This week’s guests are fairly straight up.
ABC’s This Week features John Edwards and Alan Greenspan. Both are likely to try and blame Bush for the subprime mortgage crisis. Greenspan will talk in economic terms; Edwards with demagoguery.
Both CBS’s Face the Nation and NBC’s Meet the Press are devoting their time to Presidential candidates. FTN features Fred Thompson and another dose of Edwards. MTP features Mitt Romney.
CNN features Bayh, Biden and Bond. Clever alliteration.
FOX continues to prove why it is considered so vapid with its interview of baseball’s George Mitchell and the owner of the Washington Capitals (perennial league cellar-dwellers who got beat by the Sabres Friday).
Ratings coming up later...
Carolyn Washburn of Des Moines debate infamy is the guest on cspan this morning. What a flat affect she has.
Kellyann is sensible and articulate.
I have now twice seen a Democrat “strategist” (hate that word) named Sasha Burns. She is the most despicable human being on the planet. She cannot talk without sneering. Just jaw droppingly nasty.
I actually emailed Brian Wilson yesterday and begged him not to put her on my tv.
Indeed, Rod. Now that Florida has this Federal Marriage Amendment issue - only Fred Thompson & Romney agree with it while others are not. Strange.
Thanks, I missed it.
Thanks, good to know.
Send your friend the IBD editorial about the real plan which is redistribution of wealth - from Americans - to everyone else.

Environment: Big news from the United Nations global warming conference was the last-second agreement on a pact for cutting greenhouse gas emissions. But a more ominous development went largely unnoticed.

The Republican candidates have got to start refusing to ride the “faith train.”
The MSM is trying to make them all look like Bible thumpers. It is out of hand. They are falling into a trap.
LOL.. Did you see this?
Mitt on with Timmy. All about faith all the time.
Mitt agrees atheists can be moral people.
Comes across as calm and sensible.
Thank you, I will. It’s all about money and power but the religious left environmentalists can’t see the forest for the trees.
My latest was to call Gore a charlatan and the guy came unglued. LOL
Good Morning, Alas
Now Timmy is implying that Mitt had to seek the approval of the head of the Mormon Church to run for president.
Good Morning, Alas
(religiosity...exaggerated or affected piety and religious zeal
Now if we can all pull together and help out Lt.Col. William Russell in Pa.,district 12 who is going up against Murtha it will be a terrific 08.
HC interviewed him last Sunday on Blogtalk radio for two hours and he was great! She allowed me some time with him as well and he is a brilliant Conservative and knows all about Murtha's misdeeds. Russell has all the great conservative takes no matter what the issue and is solid as a rock an all the big ones, the border, economy, wot, the rest.
I think Murtha is vulnerable but its gonna take big bucks to knock him over. ................................ On the Hillary scene, I see things as getting better and better for our side.
Just think if she wins the nomination which I fully expect her to do, her negatives are so high she loses. And if she loses the nomination she comes over to our side to surreptitiously knock out Oblama.
So either way we should win the Presidency handily no matter who we run.
