That’s my greatest fear about Mitt.

I like him, lots of people like him, but nobody LOVES him.

The Fred people are passionate; the Duncan Hunter people are very passionate, and I guess maybe whatever idiots are still for Huckabee are passionate, but ...

Romney supporters are all... he’s nice guy; he seems competent; I could vote for him....

Okay, very good, Mitt. He says calling the President arrogant for his foreign policy is an insult and Huck should not have said that and he should apologize to the President.

I’m a Mitt supporter, and when I look at him, I visualize a man who smiles as he meets world leaders, and then tells them what the plan is going to be, never losing the smile, but with steely conviction in his words.

My bottom line is choosing a leader who will support America in our 21st century global situation. I can never forget how Fred Thompson got bested in Congress by John Glenn, working with the Clintons. I have no confidence that he could go eye to eye with our enemies without folding.

That's the smartest thing I've heard all week anywhere. That's exactly what's wrong with a Romney candidacy. In a leader, as opposed to a representative legislator, it matters; he must elicit something deeper than mere approval.

It is worrying that his supporters are not passionate if that is true maybe others have come across passionate ones.

On the other hand those that are not fully committed to him or any other candidate making comments like that could play well in the general election as likability often tips an election either way rather than deep passionate feelings IMHO it certainly did with W in 2004. On the other hand his own real supporters were passionate for him.
