[Fox News, once again, doesnt utter Freds name until thirty seconds remain in the broadcast, and only the say (Hume), that his campaign has no traction.]
Sad thing is, he is right (and I love Fred). But 11 months is a loooong time.

I actually waged an exhaustive and valiant battle for what seemed like an eternity but, alas, when he whipped out with the “Bill Clinton never craved the presidency” morsel it was more than even I could withstand.

“Yes, the hand thing was cool and all, but don’t forget this (see post #147) about his past record on that topic”
Okay I read it.
We can go ahead and take the hard linenobody should ever be allowed to change their positions on anything. But that really doesnt make sense.
What we need is a leader who is independent-minded, bold, and clear thinking. Thompson showed in the Iowa debate that has all three qualities, beating Romney on at least the first two while scoring no less than Romney on the third.

LOL. I’m listening to Buchanan say how bellicose and in your face the Administration has been with our enemies and that Ronald Reagan was always respectful.
The same Ronald Reagan who actually walked out on Gorby. LOL.

Romney has clearly shown he is independent-minded, clear thinking and bold as well. Governing conservatively in a red state isnt heavy political lifting, it is more like rolling off a log. Romney, in true blue Massachusetts, was fighting upstream against raging left-wing rapids and he held the line against an 85% liberal legislature. His veto record gives us an idea of how independent-minded and bold he can be:
Over the course of four budgets, Governor Romney made over 300 line-item reductions, 350 line-item eliminations and struck language 150 times. In total, Gov. Romney issued 844 vetoes during his administration.
