With a hidden FBI camera rolling inside a New York hotel suite in 2003, an unsuspecting Rev. Al Sharpton, Democratic candidate for president, spoke candidly.
Sharpton offered to help Philadelphia fund-raiser Ronald A. White win a multimillion-dollar business deal, if White helped him raise $50,000 for politics.
White offered $25,000. "If you bring my guys up on this hedge fund, and I have the right conversation," White said, "I'll give you what you need."
"Cool," Sharpton said

I've heard of this tape before. The MSM doesn't want to get involved.
Now if he out up a sign asking people to "PLEASE" speak English, it might make the news.

Nah, this POS like Hitlery will get away with this. When you have 80% of the media behind you , you can get away with most anything. Pathetic!

I guess Sharpton can be clean and articulate when he has to be.

I have already exhaled. The video was made in 2003. I guess a ham sandwich can be indited but a baloney artist is immune from prosecution.

The FBI-IRS probe resurfaced publicly Wednesday, when Sharpton aides received subpoenas.Stick a fork in Al, he is done.
Don't screw with the IRS.
I just hope the FBI doesn't screw up the IRS case

Have to agree with you. Bill O’Reilly will have him on and clear everything up. Bill loves Sharpton. They go on dinner dates in NYC.

I know what the terms "conversation", "hedge fund" and "multimillion-dollar business deal" mean, and I carry no water for Sharpton. But if this is the "gotcha!" quote, my response as a juror would be, "Huh?".

“”In an interview yesterday, Sharpton said there is “absolutely nothing illegal” about tying business deals to fund-raising because he is not a public official. “The tapes vindicate me,” Sharpton said. “They show that I did not talk about bribing a public official or paying money under the table.” “
That was my thought as I read the thread excerpt. Looking at the linked story I’m still unclear precisely what they suggest he did illegally. Sharpton had no fiduciary responsibility I can see.

When will the MSM learn that Al's no reverend? He never went to college, never went to seminary school, never had his own church or congregation. He was "ordained" by a preacher in Washington, DC
at age 10. He is a walking insult to those who earned the title.
Oh, and BTW, Jesse Jackson has not earned that title, either.
