Gap, which owns Old Navy, Banana Republic, Forth & Towne and Piperlime, has become the latest politically correct retailer, intentionally censoring the use of "Christmas" in their in-store, online and printed advertising.
Instead of referring to the season as Christmas, Gap instead uses the word "holiday." As hard as we tried, AFA could not find a single instance in which Gap-owned stores use the term "Christmas." Not a single time!
When one Old Navy store manager was asked by AFA if the word Christmas was in his store, he answered, "We have a lot of Christmas gifts in our stores, but the word Christmas is not used here. Everything is 'holiday.'"
Gap wants you to do your Christmas shopping with them, but they don't want to mention the Reason for the season. Gap doesn't want to offend non-Christians by using Christmas. The fact that their censoring the use of Christmas might offend Christians seems to be of no importance.

Guess where I won’t be shopping ...
It is a pity because I intend to do some Christmas shopping this year, not holiday shopping.
Appropriate song, considering who loves to shop at the Gap.
Every stitch of clothing they sell is imported from China and other places. That alone keeps me from shopping for their crap.
I can accept other places, depending on where they are, but I avoid chinese goods when I can. They’re still communists and they still oppress their people, and they wouldn’t be able to compete with us if they didn’t use slave labor.
If they knew that “holiday = holy day”, what would they do?
I just went to Old Navy and all the clerks said, “Merry Christmas”, and there was Christmas stuff everywhere.
I swear some of these organizations just pull this stuff out of thin air.
Will do, just like last year: I'll spend my money at places which recognize that December 25th isn't a "happy holiday" but is Christmas, the Christian celebration of the King's birth.
A freeper should compile a list of all of the known liberal trash retailers so that we can disseminate it for all to see.
See if you can find the C-word anywhere, including their "holiday" Gift guide. And note the heading "Holiday Morning". Snort.
yes but Chanuka was over just a few minutes ago.
It isn’t like that here in the Northeast.
Thanks for this. I don’t do business with stores that won’t acknowledge my relgion.
In Staples I bought a bunch of stuff, then noticed there weren’t any Christmas trees or decorations in the store. I asked the lady why, and she said
“Staples embraces many different countries and cultures, and some of them are offended by Christmas symbols,”
So I stopped buying my stuff there and shop elsewhere in town.

Or maybe individual stores change their policy after NO CUSTOMERS show up????
Not “made up”...this is the second year in a row for Gap/Old Navy to do this.....
