the drive down the Mogollon Rim from Pinetop to Payson

Is good...also, from Heber to Payson. My wife made that drive on a learner's permit in a thunderstorm. Her Dad figured if she could handle that, she could handle anything.

Oh and Arizona is the best state in the union, despite my husband’s loyalty to and love for California.

Yes, or Heber to Globe through the San Carlos Apache Reservation. Just plain gorgeous.

Thanks for the suggestions, we’ll look into them.

Many years ago I drove into Sedona from a parking lot off the interstate, across a cattle bridge. Ran accross a longhorn that grunted at us for a bit before deciding to yield the trail. after a bit more driving we appeared at the top of a mountainside with the sun setting in my eyes and driving on the cliff edge side of the road. We passed large RVs on their way up as well as jeep tours.

I had no idea where we were and thought we might be tresspassing even though we had been told that was the shortcut in from the east.

We saw folks camping in tents along the roadside and a lot of beautiful views!

Having a fear of heights didn’t help much! LOL

I forget the names of the roads but traced it on Google Earth not too long ago.

THAT was an advendture!

Much more work ahead of me to make this all work out for us. I wish Southwest Airlines were more conventional. :(

I’m on the fence. India is mighty expensive at the moment.

If I do go, I’m jumping straight in the Ganges, getting a mouthful and getting it over with!

The Himalayas man! The Himalayas!

Oh my, you are a glutton for punishment!

Reasons not to go to India:

We will all be together having fun in one of yer favorite places without you.

You will be suffering misserably in some g- forsaken hospital with medical issues.

I’m pert near sure they don’t serve mexican food in india.

And lastly, it’s because WE ALL want you to be with us!

OK, the rest of you jump in here and help me out!

Randy, there’s only room for 10 or 11 at the B & B. If you want to pay a little more and stay at the Inn, tell whoever is in charge asap. The Super 8 is ok, I think - although I have never seen a room there. It is just up the road from the Inn - so you all would be fairly close.
