Iran Calls for Taking Bush to War Tribunal
Fars News Agency (Iran) ^ | December 10, 2007

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- A senior Iranian military official here on Monday called on all peace movements, advocates of human rights and freedom as well as all those opposing war and terrorism to join Iran in a movement to take Bush to a war tribunal.

"The US President, Georg Bush has lied to the American people and the world public opinion about Iran and Iraq, and he should take the responsibility and account for his deeds in front of the people and before the law," deputy chief of staff of Iran's armed forces said.

General Seyed Masoud Jazayeri pointed to recent reports by the UN nuclear watchdog and 16 US intelligence agencies which both acquitted Iran of Washington's charges about its nuclear ambitions, and said, "The reports recently released by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) and others revealed that the claims by the US administration and Neoconservatives about existence of nuclear weapons in Iraq which caused an invasion of that country as well as their allegations about Iran's military drives which brought intense political, diplomatic, economic and psychological pressures on Iran have all been baseless and unfounded."

"These reports set a part of the documents to be presented to an authoritative international tribunal for trying Bush and his colleagues," he added.

He further pointed to the massacre of hundreds of thousands of citizens as well as the destruction of infrastructures and eradication of security, calm and welfare during the US invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, reminding that all such crimes have resulted from the wrong ambitions of the US president and his team.

"Each one of these crimes suffices to try Bush as a war criminal," Jazayeri continued.

European nations rush to be the first to second the motion. U.S. Democrats beat them to it.

The more our weak willed government behaves like the vanquished, the bolder the enemy gets in demands for reparations, for humiliation, for Shiria Law. We have a government that believes in open borders, counter productive immigration policies, one world government, failed policies like land for peace, persecuting our soldiers for doing their job, giving up sovereignty via the Law of the Sea Treaty, etc. And, not to mention, believing Chicken Little, and supporting a corrupt, incompetent organization like the United Nations.

Nope, it’s just a research page.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

We are not acting weak-willed. Our economic pressure on Iran is considerable and is causing the mullahs who lead the country problems getting currency and employment at home. This is the real reason Iran announced it was dropping the dollar in oil sales. They could not get dollars.

In addition, we have the Fifth Fleet providing pressure from the sea, forces in Iraq, and Afghanistan. Iran can only count on itself if fighting breaks out. The Arab street doesn’t care about Persians, and Hugo may face problems with the Army if he tries to cause trouble in our south.

Not all pressure need be military; economic and diplomatic pressure works as well, as long as that is not the sole recourse.

I am encouraged. However, our political leaders, including our President, the Commander-in-Chief, either is weak-willed, or has the appearance of being so. How can the Hitler in a head scarf otherwise get away with such outlandish statements? How come we (the current Administration) let a misleading, if not downright wrong, NIE report get such publicity? It only emboldens the enemy. Of course we have the enemy within, Democrats/Marxists, the Main Stream Media, etc.

Give Ahmenijdad time, and he’ll get himself into trouble at home and try to start a war to unite his people. Then we smack him.

“The day will come that Bush would be brought before a war tribunal for the catastrophe he has caused in Iraq. He has to be called to account just like in the cases of Hitler and Saddam” —Ayatollah Khamenei

Liberals would agree.
