A Houston, Texas woman says she was gang-raped by Halliburton/KBR coworkers in Baghdad, and the company and the U.S. government are covering up the incident.

Yes. Very true. However not judging whether this is truth or fiction I submit that they could have lied to him. Not to say they did, but to me the truth come out based on the Army’s records regarding the rape kit and the taking of it. Even if record were disposed of the people who did the exam are available to testify. That should clarify everything. If it is true my heart goes out to her. If not well I hope one news outlet reports this was bogus (Fox). May the courts decide and punish the guilty either way.
At least since the Duke Nifong baloney-o-rama we should be a tad more skeptical when the alphabet media come up with clichee rape stories. This has everything in it: Iraq, young blonde woman, Halliburton, KBR, US troops, sex drugs and containers... and a whole lot of startling questions. What more for the media to ask for... and why does it come out just now?
Without having looked at any of the evidence one way or the other, I will give her the benefit of the doubt to bringing charges forward.
It seems like there is only one template for these kind of stories from the MSM, however.
And in the instance where the MSM was caught shilling for the enemy using images stolen from an adult website as “proof” of American “soldiers” “raping” “Iraqi” women, there was little apology for the harm they did to American character overseas.
I agree Poe is a fine man with a fine mind.
If the woman is a liar and was not a rape
victim, he will come down hard on her.
I am not being sexist. If the perps are caught and convicted beyond reasonable doubt, they should have their peckers cut off.
But it is up her to bring charges and the govt to prove her allegations beyond a reasobale doubt. All she has to do in Civil court is to prove on preponderance of the evidence.
That’s why I have a problem with it. Her sue list looks like deep pockets to me.
Plaintiff worked at Camp Hope in Baghdad, Iraq. She alleges that employees at Halliburton Company and Kellogg Brown & Root sexually harassed her, retaliated against her when she complained and also sexually assaulted her. Furthermore, she also alleges that the Defendants were aware of the hostile work environment and were negligent in hiring and supervising its employees, providing a safe working environment, and providing a safe living environment.
From her website -
Tragically Jamie was drugged and brutally raped only four days in Iraq.
That does not add up.
Wow, that is sick. And apperantly that information is based on a case where a fired employee won a civil case in England. The Contractors who were responsible for that should either be tried in an American Court, a Serbian Court, or hauled before the ICTY. It is absolutely disgusting that an American Corporation would get involved in the sex trade.
$100,000 for a gang rape!!! I don’t think so. If something happened to me like this at a company you can bet I would be asking for a very large pay check. Any human violated in let’s just say so many areas would want more then a yearly salary before taxes. Ouch!! Stuff like this makes me think this may not be fully what it seems. I am curious how they successfully drugged her. This is not mentioned. By the way thank you for the information you posted here!!

And what alternatives would she have? There is no process to handle cases like these, she could only go civil.
Her website indicates the rape-kit was “found” by USDoS in May this year. Photos and doctor’s notes from that kit remain missing.
Hey, don’t include me in that. Like I said, I’m cautiously pessimistic.
I hope it’s false, for her sake as well as everything else that this reflects upon, but it doesn’t look good.
I don’t think asking for facts makes anyone an “idiot”.
I’ve got the t-shirt. :)
Yeah - force them to wear a burkah and make them stay in the house. Stone them if they don't like it.
I’m betting she’s a very very attractive KOOK.
Just my opinion.
Page 4, line 18:From other details in this one document, I'm guessing she's holding KBR (and everyone else who they told) responsible for....what? Not firing the accused? Not paying her a windfall settlement? I'm not sure what she's after, but setting up Jamie's Foundation around this event tells me they're planning on making a career out of whatever they get.Defendants admit that Jamie Jones reported an alleged sexual assault to Pete Arroyo, that she was transported to the combat area surgical hospital run by the U.S.Army, where a rape kit was administered, and that KBR informed the U.S. State Department of the incident.
Wow - what a gift for libs. A company they hate, guilty of a crime of sexism, accusations of a male chauvanist system, refusing this woman basic human rights.
The only thing missing is the accusation that they did this to cover up secret torture camps where the US army is gassing Muslims in a bigoted attempt to convert the Iraqis to Christianity.
I’m not calling this woman a liar and I’m not saying it didn’t happen. But it’s awfully cut and dry, black and white and fits the left wing template awfully nicely.
So I’m suspicious - even if the “unbiased, non partisan” media isn’t.
Damages are limited in Federal court, or is it State court.
If it were my daughter, they would be MUCH better off going to jail...
