I bet none of 'em try to defect and seek political asylum there.

I wonder what would happen if the Pyongyang Philharmonic came to visit New York?

And no doubt a million bucks of time and effort going into this so a few "hi mucky mucks" can sooth their conscience before attending their daughters "coming out" events?

Dang! Where are the priorities of this country?

Oh, darn!

I doubt we'd get the 'real' Pyonyang Philharmonic. We'd get the shill orchestra of talented musician/spies. LOL, they'd be very curious to sightsee, but the list would be a little odd. Not Central Park and the Met and Trump Tower, etc, but rather various strategic locations like reservoirs and power plants. Oh, and they'd manage on their own, no need for us to escort them. ;-)

Anything that can spread Western culture over there is a good thing. I know some people who know some people who visited NK. It’s 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of work and 8 hours of indoctrination. There is no culture apart from ‘state culture’ to speak of.

I guess it would be too much of an imposition to have the Philharmonic play for the American troops in Korea while they’re there, much less play for the troops in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Well the Lefties in the Philharmonic will have alot to share with their comrade Commies in NK.

Exactly! LOL, I'm picturing it - unemployed engineering students/graduates playing in the band to pay the bills. You know, until they get their big break, called up to their dream job. ;-)

Give 'em Schoenberg, Glass and Ives.  That'll be a start in evening the score for June 25, 1950.
