A WEST Australian medical expert wants families to pay a $5000-plus "baby levy" at birth and an annual carbon tax of up to $800 a child.
Writing in today's Medical Journal of Australia, Associate Professor Barry Walters said every couple with more than two children should be taxed to pay for enough trees to offset the carbon emissions generated over each child's lifetime.

And for those that can’t afford the “baby tax”, who pays? The taxpayer? My insurance company and me are already paying double duty for those that go to the emergency room and don’t (can’t) pay. When will this end?
I’ve had a much better idea for a long time now: every nation should tax all its liberals and socialists extra!!! After all, they are the ones who believe in the hot air “Global Warmning” religion and many other foolish socialist ideas, so let them pay for the measures they say are necessary. Let them pay for all the unjustified social programs, wealth redistribution, etc. as well. We’ll see how many really ‘believe’ what they’re spouting when they have to pay for it all.
How about a $5,000 abortion fee to offset the damage abortion has done to the social security/public pension mess? How about feeding every nitwit professor some Kool-Aide in order to end their carbon footprint?
He needs to be voted off of the island.
This will work. Along with Hillary’s plan to give every baby $5,000. Just tax them $5,000.
You fail to see the profit in this? You just don’t understand liberal math.
So they get more people to abort (doesn't that impact the environment?) or opt for sterilization, and get birth rates to drop (more) precipitously. Then what? Oh, the earth is saved?
But the plan won praise from high-profile doctor Garry Egger. "One must wonder why population control . . . is spoken of today only in whispers," he wrote in an MJA response article.
I wanted to use all caps, to shout. Is he serious? That's all we hear about. Abortion rights. Sex ed for kids. Planned parenthood. And the UN and their sterilization for food plans, well, that one is spoken about in whispers. But they do openly champion womens rights as understood to be reproductive 'services'. Spoken of in whispers? It's so widely understood and pushed, we are oversaturated with it. It doesn't need to be spoken of, it's become a given. Dr. Egger should be pleased...
Right to life all important issue. A life purchased, legitimized by payment of an issuance tax, is a life also owned/controlled as property from the very beginning by the tax collection authority, and probably can/will be capable of repossession or reverse issuance under certain conditions to be later defined. Universal slavery reinstituted is fully accomplished. The environmental movement, as politically dangerous as a well known ‘ism’ in the form of religion, is nothing more than a vehicle for the reinstitution of slavery on a universal level. The US is the only nation-state of significanace in the modern world whose individual rights of being come from God (and not the Islamic God)...who wants to give that up Maybe at least one half of the electorate does...hope not.
How’s ‘bout an “Elitist” tax for professors who try to indoctrinate our youth with the idea that the Human race is a plague on earth?
Associate Professor Walters hopes to get tenure by telling us who will live and who will die.
For a truly short sighted, misinformed, idiotic and immoral solution one only has to look to the “professors” of the world...
We all know what eugenics led to, the last time around: the second World War and the Holocaust. Unfortunately, the liberals are far too busy hating America for imaginary wrongs to realize that they are repeating the mistakes of our history. The rest of us will pay a heavy price for their foolishness.
“A WEST Australian medical expert”
Can't we stop there? Everyone knows nothing good really comes from the west...
Maybe the Professor should tax himself for being so full of beans and emitting so much consequent gas. ;-)
What a complete moron. I can’t say what else I feel.
