Sorry for posting this in the main area, but I need some advice quickly.
Over the past few weeks I've been having a real coyote problem. We're in the San Joaquin Valley and have always had issues with the coyotes, but this year seems to be expecially bad (even traveling in small packs, which I've never seen before). I need some recommendations on the proper weapon to deal with these varmints.
I use number 1 buck for self defense, number 4 buck for vermin.
A car is quite effective in my parts. I see dead coyotes on the side of the road lately. Trouble for the coyote and a real mess to clean up.
Beep Beep!!! Raspberry ...
“Some might call it overkill...”
Yeh, but you have to be able to get it up.

Boy, YOU would really bee doomed with all that fire er power.
Here in Alaska I use a modern innovation of the Eskimos way, I wrap a bunch of small treble fishing hooks together in slabs of bacon into little balls and freeze it, I leave these outside in freezing weather.
Another piece of advice? I used to live in the San Joaquin Valley, shooting guns is bad no-no in Kallyland, better to use live traps.
