Fox News: Romney mailer “is not true”
http://www.eyeon08.com/ ^ | 12/09/2007 | Soren Dayton

Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday called one of Mitt Romney’s mailers in New Hampshire "not true." Watch the video.

What is Romney’s strategy? Lie about everything through the primary? CNN caught him being dodgy yesterday. But the guy has the money to do it.

I don’t think that the Republican Party wants a guy who spends millions of his own money to spread lies about other Republicans. I just think that the party is more decent than that.

UPDATE: Quote of the day from Rudy Giuliani’s campaign:

"Mitt Romney’s already changed his own position on illegal immigration, so it should come as no surprise that he’s trying to change everybody else’s position as well."

Mitt Romney is a liar who will do and say anything to get elected.

If he should somehow end up as our President, he will never have my respect. I'm not big on liars.

I am a conservative who despises a fraud.

Mitt Romney is a faux conservative. His conversions were for political convenience. Nothing more.

Chris Wallace is wrong.

McCain has voted to give social security benefits to immigrants who were here illegally - even if they are now in Mexico. This was a big deal and I thought FReepers would have a long enough memory not to forget.

Sen. McCain voted in favor of a motion to table the Ensign amendment (SA 3985) to S. 2611, the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 . The Ensign amendment (submitted for himself, Sen. Santorum, and Sen. Inhofe), would have prohibited the payment of Social Security benefits based on quarters of coverage earned by an individual who has not at some point had a valid Social Security number. This would have addressed part of the problem of aliens getting Social Security credit for work performed while they were illegally present in the United States (aliens who came in on temporary work visas, but overstayed their visas, would continue to get credit for all work performed, including after they became illegal). The motion to table the Ensign amendment passed by a vote of 50 to 49, effectively killing the amendment. http://profiles.numbersusa.com/improfile.php3?DistSend=AZ&VIPID=33

There you go.

If he should somehow end up as our President, he will never have my respect. I'm not big on liars

And you don't have mine - I'm not big on dummies.

The fellow that gets the least coverage is Thompson. But so far what he says is just about what I think our policy should be. I don’t think he has a chance however.

I despise Giuliani's candidacy, but that quote right there is gold.

Guess it all depends on which candidate you like. They all do everthing you have accused Mitt of.

McCain and others voted to table an amendment. McCain was desperate to get amnesty thru the Senate, that amendment was a deal breaker and would have killed the bigger amnesty bill. Everyone knew that.

But I see that Senate maneuvering and the ins and outs of making laws is too complicated for you to understand.

So then, it’s McCain who is the liar.

Romney is sleazey because he tells the truth about McCain? Interesting definition, you sound like a DUer.

McCliar was one of the most vocal proponents of the Presidents "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Proposal" and co-sponsor of the failed bill, hence the name, "McCain-Kennedy Bill," ergo Romney's flier is factual.

John McCliar strikes again.

What is the lie?
McCain WAS for amnesty.
When McCain says he is not, he is just playing word games.

Ditto that.

I’ll credit some obscure staffer, not Rudy.

Rudy was awful today on MTP!

Rudy G is all that and more....I struggle to find the words to describe how I feel about Rudy G....POS, FILTH, SCUM BAG...these are all to kind to him.

Romney is a phony baloney I agree, but next to Rudy G he looks and sounds a lot like the Apostle Paul.

Yes McCain was for amnesty.

He did not vote to give SS benefits to illegals!

Even Chris Wallace said that was a LIE!

No fudging, A FLAT OUT LIE.

No, no. "Despise" has to be reserved for Hillary.

No, despise is very aptly used for Rudy's campaign as he is just Hillary-lite.

He has no business being a Republican Candidate for President.

He fits much better with the Democrats.
