There's one heck of an incredible story at the Denver Post of how an outgunned, outarmored female security guard was able to do what two male armed guards could not bring themselves to do. Her explanation at the end of why she was able to do what she did is just stunning! I reposted it over here.

...At about that moment, a female guard with a drawn handgun turned a corner and walked toward the gunman and yelled "Surrender!" Bourbonnais said.

The gunman pointed a handgun at the woman and fired three shots, Bourbonnais said. She returned fire and just kept walking toward the gunman pressing off round after round.

The female guard fired off about a dozen shots.

After the gunman went down, Bourbonnais asked the woman, who has only been identified as a volunteer security guard with the church, how she remained so calm and focused.

Bourbonnais said she replied: "I was asking the Holy Spirit to guide me the entire time."

The gunman shot at her several times and she still walked straight towards him... I think it was the grace of G-d that prevented her from being injured frankly... It doesn't sound like this man missed his targets at any time before that...

G-d bless this woman for not only listening to His voice leading her to volunteer for this position, but that she remembered that the L-rd is always by our sides -- especially in times of need such as this. I pray her comments get wide play in the press...
