Huckabee is surging because he has given voters a reason to be excited. but i think that excitement is being fueled by the media.
To: Bahbah
4%, he’s on a roll(all downhill)

Ok, I will ask you the same question.
Why is Huckabee surging then?
He is such a weak candidate on a number of issues especially Illegals. If the Illegals are the important issue, why isn’t Huckabee tanking?

I totally agree NN.
Bottom line for us soon will be that we probably will have to pick from Fred Mitt or Rudy.

its because the media isnt slamming him on the issues he’s so weak on. he’s getting nothing but good face time with the media and its giving people a false view of who he is as a candidate.

Yeah, Rush will have fun tomorrow.

Wow...the full hour for Rudy! I'm sure Clinton Inc. sent Mr. Potato Head the list of trick questions.
Did you hear about Mrs. Clinton on with the Money Honey?
RUSH: Let's go to the audiotapes, Mrs. Clinton on CNBC yesterday afternoon with the Money Honey. That would be Maria Bartiromo, who said, "Where was Congress during all this?" This is about the mortgage crisis. "Where was Congress during all this? We had a lot of nonbanks on the scheme with crazy proposals, no documentation, no interest for several months. Did Congress understand what is going on here?"
HILLARY: No. And under the Republican Congress, they didn't want to understand, you know, the ostrich head was in the sand. You didn't have an administration who paid attention to the early warning signals, you didn't have a Congress that cared about it. And the net result is, as I say, everybody shares the responsibility. If something is too good to be true, it is too good to be true.
RUSH: You were in the Congress! What were you, a bystander? She can't do anything right. (cont.)

Maybe to protect their privacy so they would not be recognised as they go about their daily lives.
If he got the nomination they no longer could go about unrecoginised and would probably need some form of protection but until that unlike scenario he probably does want they to lead as normal a life as possible.

Mitt is our best problem solver, and he's my #1 until Fred steps up bigtime.
I find it absurd that some question his conservative bona fides. Wishy washy positions from a previous life amongst Massachusetts liberals does not surprise me or bother me. In no way can I envision Mitt using Huckabee like tactics to say his religion tells him to be kind to all by commuting death sentences, extending a hand to illegals, etc.

They would vote for Hillery if she smiled and said, “Say, did I mention that I am, and always have been, pro life?.”

I’ll have to check the FNS transcript but I think Huckabee used the same number, 16, in talking about the NIE.
To: MNJohnnie
Immigration is only one issue out there, but you have to remember the msm/dbm has the ability to play issues against one another and the more an issue is out of the news, ignored, or demagoagued the less it will poll in importance.
I still suggest if you ask the average citizen if he thinks it's a good idea to have control of a nation's border, few will say no.
Is it always the number one issue? Depends. How big is Ramos and Compean being played up, how big are issues like terrorists crossing the border being featured in the msm, the effect of illegals on our social structure, hospitals, jails. What does Joe 6-Pack really think about sanctuary cities?
Issues like this can have a lot of punch if featured in the right context by major players in presenting the news, but if ignored they will seem not as important.

I think Huckabee used the same number, 16, in talking about the NIE.The number 16 is correct. It is put together by that number of agencies. Biden says they agreed. They do not.

Well we have serious problems.
For one, would you vote for a Muslim for President?
I wouldn’t and for very good reason. If that is religious intolerance then I guess we are there.
To: Bahbah
Larry Korb just told us that the new NIE proves to us that the mullahs in Iran are rational and responsive to diplomatic pressure and carrots. (I believe Korb advises Biden)
Happily, Danielle Pletka was there to point out that 2003 just happened to be the year we invaded Iraq and deposed Saddam.
