The whole GW fiasco would be cause for great humor if it weren't for things like Congress's proposed energy bill that will throttle the American economy.
We have a kiddie book on bears, written in France in the early 80s, which includes a drawing of a polar bear on an ice floe and says something like “Polar bears will often travel miles on ice floes.” D’oh.
WHOA!!!!!!! I'll bet that one has been pulled from the shelves.
Global Warming is a scam to rip off the world and further move it toward world socialism with taxes levied on nations to provide money for International schemes like “fixing” global warming. Even if global warming were such a dire threat polar bears would have no problem surviving as species. They adapt very well to temperature changes whether they be extreme cold or warmer weather. Global warming and the whole “green” religion is the answer to a Godless Misanthropic group of people who feel lost without seeking some great salvation for the World. If only they really understood what they seek. They wish to reign in a beast that is more complex and less understood than all the world’s money markets which still defy accurate simulation as far as predicting future events let alone controlling the markets.
If we do not hold the line against those who wish to “fix” the climate then the greatest risk to the world will be, if they by some horrible disastrous chance succeed in their misguided ideas to cool the planet, the beginning of a thousand year of Ice. I don’t believe that they will succeed in doing anything outside annoying the crap of the rest of us and aiding the relentless march toward a red tomorrow where freedom as we know it has disappeared from the face of the world ironically in the name of saving it.
As for me I cast a jaundiced eye on environmentalists, conservationists and anti consumerists. Humanity needs to continue its rise to the stars not navel gaze itself into oblivion saving that which does not need saving. A weather pattern is not an endangered species and more species have passed into the cold night of history by the hand of mother nature than by the hand of man. Progress is a good thing, the sentimentalists and static earther’s need to grow up and take up the banner of humankind and embrace the future.

The only evidence of the polar bears plight is an animated CARTOON of a polar bear swimming for its life in an ice barren polar sea shown in Al Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth. There are no scientific studies that verify drowning polar bears and quite the contrary polar bear populations, which exist throughout the arctic not just on polar ice flows, seem to be doing quite well. How can anyone other than a total idiot believe an animated cartoon as scientific fact?
Nobody but total idiots do -- that's why leftwinnuts believe so strongly in the garbage of albore's movie and everything he pukes up on the subject of Global Warming.

Wrong. There are a number of scientific studies that strongly indicate that polar bear populations worldwide are diminished by as much as 20%. These are based on mark/recapture methods, skull measurements, and cub mortality estimates.
