They get kicked out of public buildings, they're not allowed to march in hometown parades, and they get run off by the cops while conducting charity work in public because they're not being brainwashed into good little liberal greenies. Makes a hell of a lot of sense (NOT).
If they tried it in my locale, they’d get their asses kicked around the block. I’d wager most of Texas is the same way.
The Phelps are hideous, but their pickets have energized a patriotic response, and I think that’s very positive.

If it’s a strategy to bring the war deaths into the public eye to gin up more opposition to the war, it’s a doggone poor one I’d say. Any end-the-war sympathy the church-that-must-not-be-named might garner for the servicemen and their families is instantly drowned out by the shock value of the rest of their message. I see them as ironically highlighting how honorable the soldiers’ missions were, as compared to their juvenile schoolyard taunts. Also, the P’s can’t visit anywhere near the total number of such funerals that are happening.
Also, I don’t think the MSM needs any help. The MSM might not be able to film current caskets, but they have enough footage of prior ones to use as a background to announcements of the current deaths — “little dishonesties” like that are as nothing to MSM.
I agree. For some reason we, as a people accept way too many ridiculous state and federal court decisions. If we only fired (read: impeach and convict) a couple dozen of these clowns, these judicial tyrants every year, there would be far fewer decisions such as this.

But answer me this....why don’t these people insinuate themselves somewhere where the disgusting behavior of homos is very evident?
If they really had a mission all they have to do is...I don’t know, attend someone of those homo parties in San Francisco.

I’d say they shy away from highly-homo venues because the “gay lobby” is far less forgiving than the patriotic crowd. They would get their lights punched out and worse. We’ve seen what happens to mainstream evangelicals who merely preach individual repentance at these venues.
What this means is if you are an anti-american left-wing fascist pig faced Nazi you have the right to free speech. However, if you are a real American and want to tell the left where to go you have NO right to free speech and anything you say will be considered hate speech or some other kind of against the left-wing fascist anti-American law. Besides this is NO Church it is a group of pimps and whores.
Actually the 8th Circuit is probably one of the most Republican courts. Fourteen out of eighteen were appointed by either Reagan or the two Bushes.
Another situation where the courts and LEO fail the citizens so the people should take the matter into their own hands and run these people to ground.
Oh, and if the gossip is true, Fred might give himself away by bug-eyes (or bug-something-else) at a flamingly gay public exhibit.

The Phelps gang is not a church, it is a lawyer power-cult, using insult and abuse as their symbols of status and dominance. Fred himself is a disbarred lawyer, and 9 of his 13 children are lawyers. Three of them are employed by the Kansas Department of Corrections.
This is probably why judges are willing to grant them more consideration than they would give other hate-mongers. Imagine, for example, uniformed neo-nazis routinely desecrating Jewish funerals or KKK thugs in robes showing up across the street from a black funeral.
Hell yeah, and the kids unforutunate enough to be born into this cult ALL go to public school - more opportunities to sue there.
