Roger that. I write the date military style all the time, but haven’t seen it used on FR.

I think the only place I’ve ever seen the date written day/month is in the American civilian population.

Just to be on the safe side. I had to check other South African news stories to make sure they did in fact put the day before the month.

When we post here in America we are set in our ways with how we date articles. I am OK with this difference as long as I don’t have to learn the metric system all over again.

Since the article is from a South African source my guess would be a cut and paste was done by the poster and the day/month switch was not even noticed.
