You can view the offensive ads here and here, and you can see the overly political website here.

The Left supports the troops, they just think it’s going to far, getting too political, to actually thank the troops for their service.

"We have a policy that prohibits acceptance of advertising that deals with issues of public controversy," Wurtzel said. Supporting our troops is controversial according to this guy??! What a whacko.

NBC said it declined to air the ad because it refers to the group's Web site, which the network said was too politicalAnd by "too political" they mean "too conservative". Thanks, peacocks!

Did NBC run any VoteVets.org ads? An anti-war, Iraq Vet quit that group because he determined from the inside that VoteVets.org was organized to support Democrats and bash Republicans, by leveraging the goodwill the public feels towards our military members.

Put the ad on Fox or other cable news... no one with a brain watches NBC, ABC, or C—>BS anyway.

""We have a policy that prohibits acceptance of advertising that deals with issues of public controversy," Wurtzel said."
So airing an add that thanks our Troops fighting the WOT and US interests IS controversial. Making a public statement that they will not air the ad that thanks the Troops IS NOT controversial to them. Am I reading that right?
"NBC said it declined to air the ad because it refers to the group's Web site, which the network said was too political, not because of the ad's message."
But Moveon.org adds are OK for NBC.

You may want to make your opinions known to your local NBC affiliate. They have much more influence with the network than any individual, and they tend to care about their viewers' opinions -- especially when there is the threat of boycotts by organizations such as veterans groups. You can see an NBC station directory here.

I wish they would apply this mentality to all those lame-arsed public services ads. I am so sure seeing some hollyweird bum telling parents not to abuse their kids or d o not drink and drive makes a difference.
