In a great many of the media's post-game analyses of the Thursday, December 6th Mitt Romney religion speech, including that of the Associated Press, we are treated to the negative reactions thereto of one Costas Panagopoulos, who is rightly (if only partially) identified as "a political science professor at Fordham University".
There is only one little problem with going to this guy for his thoughts on all things either Romney, Republican or Rodham: he is an ex-Hillary Clinton staffer.
How do we know this? How did we ferret out this subterranean knowledge? We checked his website's biography. Second paragraph, first sentence.
We are positively exhausted after the extensive, laborious effort to track down this tidbit.

“NOW WE KNOW WHY THE DEMOCRATS REFUSE TO DEBATE ON FOX NEWS.”
There was no doubt in my mind as soon as Chris Wallace asked der Schlickmeister why he didn’t get Bin Laden after 7 chances. Der schlick blew fuses and the MSM stayed in tight goose step ever since.
Ever wonder why the alter egos of many super heroes where investigate reporters....truth, justice, and the American way etc.... The Main Stream Media is full of corrupt villains.
Costas Panagopoulos is assistant professor of political science and director of the Center for Electoral Politics and the Master's Program in Elections and Campaign Management at Fordham University. He is also research fellow at the Institution for Social and Policy Studies at Yale University. He served as an American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow in the office of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) from 2004 to 2005. His academic research, focusing on American politics with an emphasis on campaigns and elections, voting behavior, public opinion and Congress, has appeared in the American Journal of Political Science, Public Opinion Quarterly, Presidential Studies Quarterly, Electoral Studies, and PS: Political Science and Politics. Panagopoulos was part of the Decision Desk team at NBC News in 2006 and has provided extensive political analysis and commentary for various print and broadcast media outlets including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Newsday, CNN, NBC Nightly News, Fox News, and BBC Television. Panagopoulos holds an undergraduate degree in government from Harvard University and a PhD in politics from New York University.
I don’t think he eluded their radar, I think they turned their radar’s off.
I don’t see the word “need” in your post. And obviously it didn’t happen, that was my point. I can imagine anything I want, and you, sir make no sense. Do you know what a rhetorical device is? Or no?
The email army was swarming the computers at kinkos copies in florida during the kerry campaign.
I've also noticed hills campaign invoking the old man's devices; as when CNN told everyone last night that it really is "all about the economy" after all (which, of course, it hasn't been since 9/11).
The left is about as creative as "Lost in Space" reruns and a whole lot more dangerous.
Being an ex Clinton staffer is akin to one renouncing Islam.
Is Costas Panagopoulos a leap from George Stephanpoulos... Chris Matthews, Tim Russert???
I don’t know why everyone is so suprised. If you remember the time when the Republican Congess ‘shut down the government’ in 1996, the MSM showed several interviews of government employees who were ‘locked out of their offices’. These government employees were shown in front of locked federal buildings saying they would work for free if the evil GOP would just let them into their desks. These interviews were little more than pro-democrat/Bill Clinton commercials. What the MSM didn’t tell you was everyone of them was a full time union activist.
While it is correct that they were federal employees, it is a little known fact that federal employees elected to union positions work full time on union business while receiving full pay and benefits from the US government.
He’s part-time, junior faculty->

In the first 100 days, Hillary, will ban the Internet. Independent thought is far too dangerous for a subjugated people. There will be only 4 Channels. Three will be owned by her supporters and the forth will be dedicated to teaching us to speak the language of our current invaders.
Beyond being rude and starting off with arrogance, you’re now pestering me. I invite you to come down from your high horse among us mortals. Now, in my 20 years of education, I never learned what a rhetorical device is, please do tell oh wise one.
You originally posted:
“Imagine how the MSM would react if Fox failed to identify a McCain debate questioner as a a former McCain staff. NOW WE KNOW WHY THE DEMOCRATS REFUSE TO DEBATE ON FOX NEWS.”
To which I responded:
“That never happened and they refused anyway!”
Then you started being high brow,
“Please read more carefully. I said ‘imagine if...’ I did not say that such a thing happened. It is a rhetorical device to make a point, not an assertion of fact.”
I responded:
“Please practice what you preach, I didnt write that you did say it happened. I said it doesnt need to happen, theres no point to imagining, they did that (refuse a fox debate) without it happening.”
This makes complete sense.
There’s no need to make your point rhetorically, we don’t have to imagine anything. Certainly you can imagine anything you want, for example, that you’re so much brighter than I and others you condesend here. The dems refused to debate on fox even though fox never failed to identify a GOP plant. My post didn’t assert that yours said fox failed to identify a GOP plant. Nor did it have to have the word “need” in it for one to read it and understand what I was saying - that they refused even though such an incident never occured. Using your arrogant form of discussion, you do know how to infer don’t you?
You’re too full of yourself. You should try asking for clarification and not being nasty and attacking someone if something is unclear.
How does one become an exHillaryite?
**
Conveniently resigns for as long as he needs to say that he is not a part of her campaign. Depends on the meaning of “is”, of course.
You’re right. I’m wrong. Feel better, big boy?
Imagine if the right started to fight back as the left does, only stronger. Well, I can dream...
Apparently, according to the laws laid down and enforced by enough_idiocy, you are not allowed to imagine, nor are you allowed to use rhetorical devices, because it causes him confusion and angst. But, that said, the trouble with the right fighting the way the left does is that we have a few scruples, they don’t.
3AngelaD, grow up. No one said you can’t imagine. No one said you can’t use rhetorical devices. I said there’s no need to do so in one particular instance because the outcome you stated already occurred without the trigger you suggested. You’re the one who is confused, clearly. And it’s sad you’d drag alarm rider into this and dodge my prior responses while taking a cowardly dig at me to another freeper in an unrelated post. Sad.
You’re right. I’m wrong. I, too, am sad. I will straighten up and fly right. I will try, try to never offend you again. I cannot believe I dared to presume to disagree with you. Your brilliant argument has no equal, and before that argument I retreat, utterly defeated. I am profoundly ashamed. I grovel at your feet, clutching the hem of your garment and begging for forgiveness. You are an awesomely clear-thinking Male with irrefutable logic, before whom my puny, womanly thoughts and opinions are as nothing. I apologize abjectly and acknowledge your vast wisdom and superiority. How could I have been so wrong?
Grow up. Stop harassing me. Moveon.
Oh please Hillary, spare me the victim card. Save it for when you post on DU. Again, move on.
