-—I am now almost as enthusaistic about Mitt as I was about Reagan. Just like Reagan’s speeches always did, Mitt’s speech gave me goosebumps! I want more of that! : )-—

I agree 100%! :^)

It is an impressive speech. I can see why Rush like it.

“I checked the commentary over at DU and nearly all of it is unpostable here for all of the profanity. Needless to say, they hated it. Always a good sign for a Conservative.”

LOL. That’s great. It means he did really, really well. They must be wetting their pants.

I’m unhappy that I missed hearing Rush today. I would love to see a transcript of what Rush said about Romney’s speech, which I thought was exceptionally eloquent. If he is our candidate for President after the primaries end, he’s got my vote.

It’s a custom. Not unlike those in other faiths with customs.
I wonder why it is a problem for you.

I really could care less, mitt needs to go look for some more illegals to do his yard work. LOL

The reality of this story shows that Mr. Romney is a kind and generous man. Mr. Romney knows the owner of the company from his church. When the question came up he went to the man and asked him to make sure that it did not happen again. Politically it would have been expedient to fire the company right then and there but he did not, he was willing to give the guy a second chance. To me the guy just spit in Mr. Romneys face by allowing illegals to work for him. Mr. Romney did right by firing him the second time.

I had a roof replaced once. I contacted a company that was referred to me by friend. The guy assured me he was legal (he spoke with an accent) that he had been here all his life. When I saw and heard his workers however I had doubts about them. What should I have done?

I frequented a Chineese resturant in my local community. I have eaten there many times. I recently found they were raided and most of the employees were illegal, they have been deported. What should I have done while eating there to make sure I wasn’t helping someone break the law?

It is ok with me for you to not like Mr. Romney. I don’t even care that you don’t like him because he wears funny underwear. Please don’t insult my intellegence by stating something so stupid as saying you don’t like him because he hired a company that hired illeagls.

The web has changed our access to facts, we can find them much more easily now than before. Perhaps some are lazy and won’t look up the facts, many now are not lazy and will look them up. Don’t treat all of us as idiots because some are lazy.

Not everyone shares your underwear obsession.

He's covering up this bizarre fetish, not me.

You don't cover up your underwear?!

The above should be the spirit among conservatives and Republicans today! : )

Yes, indeed. I find it disheartening to read the numerous negative posts bashing fellow Republican candidates here on FR. This is supposed to be a conservative forum, but sometimes, it resembles the DU or Daily Kos in it's Republican bashing rhetoric.

IMHO, we need to focus on the positive, remember the outstanding founding principles of this country, and rally around the best Republican candidate, whomever that may be.

It's a custom that involves magical protective underpants.

That gives it a high comedic value.

The fact is that the underwear is just an item like a crucifix that you wear as jewelry. They remind you of who you are and what you have promised to be. Can you imagine committing adultery if you had to strip off a large crucifix before you committed the deed?

There is no protective value to them that I have ever heard of espoused by church doctrine.

The reality is that the underwear is really the same as everybody elses was in the past it is just that the styles have changed and the “underwear” they wear hasen’t

"I'm a liitle slow on this one...Can you help me out?"
"Ping me when Marilyn Monroe sings at his birthday party."

Sure... Mitt is doing the JFK "Catholic Spiel" "Mormon style", right out of the play book.

You could see this coming months ago. You can bet he will continue to try and play the Religion is not a test o f a Presidential Candidate a few more times. Anything to help the Mormons get some positive PR

~”It was a good speech, though. Who was the speech writer?”~

My understanding is that he penned this one himself.

Yep, pretty much. The top part is a white t-shirt, the bottom part is a white set of boxers. Nothing too exciting. We’re expected to wear clothing that keeps them covered, so it’s a good guage for appropriate modesty as well.
