To: Spiff

It is sad but inevitable in our highly polarized political atmosphere, that anyone running for any political office in America would have to explain his religion in politics. This counrty, inasmuch as many would like to deny it, was founded on Christian principles and tolerence for all. I thought we all got past this with Kennedy and Catholics even though us “papists” were not invited to the “table of freedom” for nearly two hundred years.

I am not a supporter of any particular candidate in this primary process. I was, however, impressed with what this man had to say. It hasn’t made me a supporter, but it impressed me. He went into areas of personal beliefs that I thought he would avoid and navigated quite well.
