WASHINGTON - Massachusetts Senator John Kerry wants the United States and its allies to send 5,000 more troops to Afghanistan to help quell rising violence there.
Kerry says Afghanistan marks the front line in the fight against terrorism. He cited a dramatic increase in the number of suicide bombings and other violence there this year. And he says Taliban and al-Qaida forces have regrouped along the Afghan-Pakistan border.
Kerry urged the United States to lean hard on its NATO allies for help. More troops would make the military less reliant on air strikes, which he said results in civilian casualties and inflames public opinion in the Muslim world against the U.S.

Perhaps the good senator can personally assist those poor soldiers who are stuck in Iraq and bring them to Afghanistan!

Let's see: John F*ckin' wants a Surge in Afghanistan. But he opposes the Surge in Iraq. Flip-flop!

Kerry would rather risk American soldiers lives than depend on air strikes to kill the Taliban. I find that offensive.

I'm sure our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines would love to have "A Hero and such a leader" lead them into battle.
NOT!
Here's another one who's 15 minutes of fames is all used up. Let's make a list: J F'in Kerry, awlGore, 'dirty harry' Reid, The Bimbo Sisters (Nancy, Diane, Barbara and Hillary) ... the list goes on and on. Like the 'Energizer Bunny' ... memorable in their own minds and they keep coning back. Maybe The Bimbo Sisters could take over 'The View'.

Kerry and the Dems consider Afghanistan the good war, yet many of the same arguments they use to get us out of Iraq could be applied to Afghanistan. The Taliban had nothing to do with 9/11. We have eliminated the Taliban government, so why are we still there? What is happening is really a civil war involving the Afghan government, the Taliban, and war lords. Afghanistan is a quagmire with no exit strategy. AQ is no longer there. The situation in Afganistan can not be solved militarily. Etc., etc.,

Kerry: “Since the surge is working in Iraq, I supported the surge in Iraq all along, and I think that America should have a surge in Afghanistan. See, I’m brilliant! It was my idea! Look at MEEEE!”
