That is one of the main points of this story. There are huge areas of France that the French no longer control, that the police cannot enter, and where Sharia law prevails, not French law. The French have lost part of their territory to Muslim immigrants. Charles Martel is spinning in his grave, along with all those Frenchmen who died in the Battle of Tours that stopped Islamic expansionism into Europe from Spain.

I don't think sharia law prevails in those parts of France. France's Muslim immigrants are almost completely secular, which means these mutants have far more in common with urban thugs here in the U.S. than with Muslims in the Middle East.

Take a look at any photos of the riots in France over the last couple of years. If you didn't know where those photos were taken, you'd swear you were looking at a scene in Detroit or Los Angeles. And the typical rioter in those photos looks no different than the suspects in the recent Sean Taylor murder, or the perps in the "Jena 6" attack.
