"Flavors from the mother's diet are transmitted through amniotic fluid and mother's milk. So, a baby learns to like a food's taste when the mother eats that food on a regular basis." So this explains why America is crazy for pizza.

Eat Fruits And Veggies While Breastfeeding And Baby Will Probably Like Them I don't think it takes eating fruits and vegetables to encourage babies to like breasts.

My mom doesn’t drink Scotch, like pepperoni, or pork rinds so I call BS on this study.

It worked like gangbusters on my niece. The girl loves salad and will eat avocados faster than you can peel them.
Also eat lots of fruits and veges in front of your child and they will eat them too. Kids learn from their parents, including really bad and good eating habits....

I thought that it came with weaning, but then again I suppose most kids are getting weaned improperly being obese.

With so many women opting to
not breastfeed these days (despite the efforts of doctors and such to promote) I wonder if this really means anything other than, "Well, we did a study and here's what we found."?
I know my younger sister adamantly refused to breastfeed beyond the first day or two. I've also heard (anecdotal evidence) that many young women feel it's "weird" or are more worried about their looks so they opt not to.

Horse feathers.
I breast fed both my kids for the same amount of time, ate the same diet, started them off the same and fed *them* the same diet, and they couldn’t have more different tastes.
One was a starch lover of every sort. Potatoes, noodles, rice etc. She would eat fruit and veggies but didn’t care much for meat. The other preferred protein in every form. Didn’t want potato or starch. He didn’t much care for veggies until he grew up and married a woman who eats them a lot. Now he is a salad fiend..... but still loves meat and fish.
