Former President Bill Clinton proved that not even the Queen of Spain could distract him from sitting beside his favourite actress Penelope Cruz.
Clinton was present at the Spanish Institute Gold Medal Gala on Park Avenue along with Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Queen Sofia of Spain.
According to socialdiary.com, Mr. Clinton was seated next to the Queen of Spain, on her right with Mr. Oscar de la Renta on her left.
To the left of Mr. de la Renta was Ms. Cruz, and to right of Mr. Clinton was Anna Wintour.
The main highlight of the evening was when former president eventually switched his seat with Mr. de la R so that he could be seated next to the movie star.
After being felicitated with a medallion from Queen Sofia, Clinton revealed to the audience that he has seen everyone of the Cruz's movie.
"I was trying to figure out exactly why I would receive this award tonight. It may be because even though I'm not of Spanish descent, I've seen every one of Penelope Cruz's movies - and I liked them all," said Clinton. (ANI)
Interesting choice of words.
“Hey, if she was desperate enough for Tom Cruise, you know she can’t resist the power of Willard!”

I wonder if this occured...?
I’d say the Queen was lucky. I can’t say that I’m really itching to meet Oscar de la Renta, but I’d rather sit next to him than bill clinton, any day of the week.
Good ‘ol Bubba!...His Pecker Radar always working!
They both are.
Clinton class on display.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing! It sounds like something Bubba likes to do frequently.
“Interesting choice of words.”
Has to have been on purpose.
Tom Cruise: “get away from my wife Clinton”
Clinton Mashing toms face with his hand, pushing him away:
“step aside you wimp, She mine tonight”
Tom Cruise, peaking from around a corner:
“Ok, but, but I’ll be watching Clinton, I’ll be watching”
Your use (and disuse) of capital letters is noted, with amusement.
I know what my choice would between a gay Spaniard and Penelope Cruz!
''The real highlight of the evening, however, was the people
watching, and most specifically the people who were seated near the Queen. And the real real highlight for many of the
guests was watching the former President. for eventually he
forsook the editor of Vogue as a dinner partner, and switched
his seat with Mr. de la R so that he could be seated next to
the movie star. Well, what would you do in his shoes?''
Just think if the Hildebeast gets elected she is going to make Bill Clinton ambassador to the world. God help us, and God help the women of the world.
Really? She has made 49 movies per IMDB.com. Did he see, say, Todo es mentira? He really can't help hisself, can he?
