When you find an instance of Dwigfht Eisenhower giving aid to an enemy of the Republic during wartime, you can go ahead and compare Paul to Ike. Until then, Paul is the kooky traitor and Ike is the guy who won the European half of WWII. Try to keep them straight.
That is why I brought up Eisenhower, who also mentioned the military industrial complex. My post had nothing to do with comparing them or with WWII, or anything else you mentioned. Try to keep that straight.
Indeed it does.
Here is a Buchanan thread posted 6/1/99
Buchanan Calls Kosovo a 'Blunder'...
Seeking to set himself apart from his rivals for the GOP presidential nomination, Buchanan said George W. Bush, John McCain, Elizabeth Dole and Steve Forbes were ``virtual Xerox copies'' of President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore when it comes to the Balkans and a variety of other trade and economic issues.
And check out this REPLY to it.
From another 1999 WhiteWater post...
Bombs Fall On Belgrade On Eve Of Envoys' Arrival
with the following reply...
Here's a challenge for all of us. Find out who gets the government contracts for reconstruction. (The arms resupply contractors are already long in place.) Match them against a list of campaign contributions or similar buy-ins. Connect the dots of corruption and read the diagram of the death of America.
So you tell me. Were we cut and run anti military posters then when we opposed nation building wars? splain please.
the reason a lot of us don't support Ron Paul is that we're just not good Americans.
"Many will say that 911 changed everything "
you are right, many of us simply haven't been as successful at "moving on" as you have been.
Damned windmills! Keep on tilting!

U.S. strategist to help Kenya presidential challenger November 14, 2007
As opposition candidates kicked off their official campaigns, Raila Odinga, who has a narrow lead in opinion polls, said American pollster Dick Morris had joined his team.
Amen.
Paul also said, “The military-industrial complex, the biased media, the big banks, the Fed, the waterboarders, and the IRS don’t like what we’re doing.
He forgot the neocons!
Repeat after me, he doesn't believe in conspiracies, he doesn't believe in conspiracies, he doesn't believe in conspiracies.
Including the owner of this site.
Good point. Domestic liberals can't stand Paul's small-government positions, which is why a disproportionate amount of the bleating against Paul has always come from the Giuliani/Schwarzenegger wing of the GOP.

Thanks for the ping.
RP has 10.6MM in the bank now. The tea party should be a successful day for him. 2-4 million more in the bank.
That's true. And there's evern more fodder the nutball Paul cult.
Paul also said, The military-industrial complex, the biased media, the big banks, the Fed, the waterboarders, and the IRS dont like what were doing. But every good American is applauding us, and daring to hope for a better future.
Yup, good American's applaud Ron Paul, the rest, well.....
So jmc, are the only good Americans Paul supporters.
Typical cult thought process.
That's paranoid moonbat talk. What a Maroon!"
Of course there's always those paradigms of virtue and free speech here on FR that continue to flaunt their vast knowledge and understanding of mental health.
Let's see, Nomex suit? - check. Gloves? - check. Face mask? - check.
Have fun.
Very well said!
I understand that you, like many others, like Ron Paul on domestic issues, but disagree with his foreign policy. Here’s some food for thought - George W. Bush, over the course of his administration, has shown that he has no loyalty to the ideas of small government, the Constitution, the American people, etc. He’s sold us out so many times; No Child Left Behind, the Patriot Act, Medicare Part D, CAFTA, “comprehensive immigration reform”, the NAU, etc. Most people on this forum seem to recognize that fact. Ron Paul has opposed every one of these measures. So, my question is, what is it about Iraq that makes you think that all of a sudden Bush was doing the right and honorable thing and the Paul is wrong?
A good portion of the Paul-haters are people who will defend that kind of stuff.
