ROCHESTER, N.H. - The stepdaughter of a distraught New Hampshire man, who touched off a hostage drama at Hillary Clintons campaign headquarters in Rochester, N.H., said she feared her stepfather was going to be gunned down.
I was fearful. I just hoped everything would turn out OK, Leeland Eisenbergs stepdaughter Erin Warren told the Herald today outside Rochester District Court.
I thought it would end pretty extreme, I thought it was going to be a shooting thing, she added.
Eisenberg was arraigned today on a host of charges, including kidnapping, in connection to Fridays hostage taking in downtown Rochester. He was ordered held on $500,000 cash bail after authorities outlined his extensive criminal record, which includes two rape convictions in Massachusetts in the 1980s.
Eisenbegs stepson, Ben Warren, said he spent Thursday night with his step-dad and he directed him to a store that sold road flares. Eisenberg allegedly purchased road flares at a Dover, N.H., auto store and then strapped them to his chest with duct tape, which he later claimed was a bomb when he took hostages at the Clinton headquarters and held them for almost six hours.
In court papers field today, Ben Warren told police he was sleeping at a hotel room with this stepfather and awoke to hear the sound of ripping duct tape.
Shortly before Eisenberg allegedly went to the Clinton campaign headquarters, he told his stepson no matter what happens today, tell your mother I love her, according to court papers.
He was suicidal. He was drinking and he was pretty emotionally tore up, said his stepson.
The siblings said that their stepfather had tried unsuccessfully to get into a treatment program for alcoholism and mental illness.
Its unfortunate but at the same time its says something about the lack of health care, said Ben Warren.
I hope the best for him, I hope gets the help he needs, said the stepson.
Eisenberg was charged on four counts of kidnapping, one charge of criminal threatening and one charge of false report as to explosives.
In 2002, Eisenberg sued the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, alleging he had been molested by a priest in the early 1980s, when he was about 21.
In 1999 and 2000, Eisenberg was incarcerated in a facility for sexual offenders at Bridgewater State Hospital, according to court records. He was later transferred to the Massachusetts prison in Concord...
She is even more the heroine. What courage.
Does anyone else gag when they read this? Maybe a priest got funny with him, but 21 year olds don't get molested.
Something is very wrong with the system and the whole stinkn’ scenario and it has nothing to do with health care.
There’s more:
Eisenberg held on $500K bail; two rapes, jailbreak on rap sheet.

Yes, but who did he vote for or contribute to politically in the past twenty years?
this stinks too much of clintonian staging.
I know it does, but since he’s been incarcerated most of the time and lived in so many different places when he wasn’t in jail, I doubt he has ever voted.
I’d look into his family, though.
Or lack of keeping criminals where they belong? Two rape CONVICTIONS - domestic violence, alcoholism (AA is free) on top of everything else -
Right, Socialist medicine would've helped
His son’s a piece of work too.
Sounds like an accessory to the felony.
And if his dad needed help so bad, why didn’t he help instead of blaming the government.
Sounds to me like the guy just wanted to get on the money train that was getting rolling then.
This is really what the news is, but no one will notice. The conservatives need to put the feet of the libs to the fire. Make them defend their policy of catch and release.
You shouldn’t have to threaten Hillary Clinton in order to get a long jail term.
Yeah, but didn’t the regal Hillary look Presidential!
New England has been using Restoritative Justice for years now. Eisenberg is another example of how implimenting this theory into practice puts society in danger.
Yeah, 21 year old men being “molested” sounds odd to me as well. But if 25 year olds can be “children” for the purposes of the SCHIP bill, I suppose it’s the same thing.
Eventually the Democrats will infantilize all of us if they get their way.
Hey, uh...come to think of it I'm pretty sure the 5-10 THOUSAND illegals crossing our border every night have it in for Hillary TOO...!!!
I don’t know why the judge just didn’t deny bail.
I see they're ramping it up now. The other stories today just said alcoholism. Now it's mental illness, too. While I certainly don't disagree, why didn't they say that in the first place - and what exactly is the illness he has?
Well, if he was insane, then he has an excuse... unlike the judge who let him go.
Hilary and crew really went all out on this one. It’s a twofer for her....we all now see how her healthcare scheme is going to save the day AND we all now see what a great leader she is.
Wonder how long they’ve been working on this little play? I’m sure they had to interview a few people before they found the perfect “victim” to pull off this hostage crises.
All this article does is remind me of that publicity stunt and the fact that the slickmeister has several rape accusations and a laundry list of sexual harassment accusations and he didn’t even get questioned on them.
