What? They don’t let the dead vote in Venezuela? Better not let the DNC hear about that. They’ll sic Amnesty International on em for disenfranchising the deceased.

Oh wait, I think that’s ACLU that gets sent after the enemy of the DNC... it’s hard to remember which organization of neo-comm rat bastards do what for whom in the world of professional agitprop.

Thank you to all who voted for my proposal, my 4 million + compatriots...

We are maturing, we are undertaking a new frontier

I’m calm, we’re all calm, we’re proud of what we’ve done here, respecting everyone, but in my heart as a venezuelan, waiting for the results for 4 hours, what a dilemma...

Understand me, don’t feel sad, no...

Finally, it was just a small difference, the vote was close, 1.4%...

Remember the election in the us? how close that was?

Does anybody think Hugo is just going to accept the “will of the people” and stop his campaign tor further radicalize the Venezuelan countryside?

L-no he ain’t. He will just have to be a little more vigorous in enforcing civic calm and compliance.

They’re just waiting for those “late reporting precincts” from downtown St. Louis, er, Caracas.

Chavez leads tight vote, say officials

“CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez appeared headed for a narrow win on Sunday in a referendum on scrapping term limits on his rule, government officials said, but opposition leaders said the vote was too close to call.

Exit polls and early counts by party members showed the race tightening with the anti-U.S. leader ahead by as little as four percentage points, senior government officials said. Three ministers who asked not to be named earlier said the margin was between six and eight points.

Vice President Jorge Rodriguez told reporters the vote was “close.” Opposition politicians also said the outcome was tight and questioned the government’s data that put Chavez ahead.

“They are trying to create rumors to present themselves as winners, as victors,” Andres Velasquez, an opposition leader said. “We want to deny it categorically, emphatically.”

If approved, the referendum vote on a raft of reforms would allow Chavez — in office since 1999 — to run for reelection indefinitely, control foreign currency reserves, appoint loyalists over regional elected officials and censor the media if he declares an emergency.”

If the “official” results are so close, the ACTUAL tallies are probably more like 60-40 NO.

That's my surmise as well.

Hugo “porque no te calles” Chavez - el mono feo.

You know we speak English in America. The rule on FR is English only and many of us can't speak spanish, nor do we desire to learn. So, you may have a very funny post, or maybe not, at any rate many of us won't know because you choose to be cute and post it in spanish, a language, I might add, that many in the US are starting to get sick of the sight and sound of.
