A Hoffman Estates man said Sunday that he is recovering from the minor injuries suffered when he was dragged by a car carrying youths who stomped on and broke pieces of the Christmas display that has illuminated his yard for 17 years.
"There was about seven or eight boys just absolutely destroying our Christmas decorations," he said. "Just stomping, ripping and breaking them to pieces."
OBrill, 46, of the 4000 block of Winston Drive, said he stood in front of one of the two vehicles that the vandals jumped into.
"I got in front of the first car, thinking it was going to stop," OBrill said. "He just kind of ran me down."
OBrill's hand got caught in the windshield wiper, was dragged a short distance and his left foot was run over. He did not get the license number of either vehicle.

Hope the homeowner will use a brick to their windshield rather than putting himself at risk next time.
My brother lives in greater Chicago near a large infestation of Christian hating muslims. Wouldn’t surprise me if it wasn’t islamic rage-boys.
Too bad this wasn’t about an armed homeowner defending himself and his property...

Sounds like what this guy needs is a paintball gun with balls loaded alternatively with neon paint and hot pepper powder.
He needs video cameras around his house, that way he could have taped the whole attack, with license plate and the faces of the atatckers.
But he didn’t expect such a vicious attack.
The vandals were methodically destroying his Christmas decorations. This was not a “childish prank”.
These are the same type of “youths” rioting in France — attack and destroy, just because...
