A stock broker, on his way home from work in New York City, came to a
dead halt in traffic and thought to himself, “Wow, this seems much
worse than usual.”
He notices a police officer walking between the lines of stopped
cars, so he rolls down his window and asks, “Officer, what’s the hold
up?”
The officer replies, “Hillary Clinton is depressed, so she stopped
her motorcade and is threatening to douse herself in gasoline and set
herself on fire. She says her husband has spent all her money and the
Democrats told her to forget about running for President in 2008, so
we’re taking up a collection for her.”
The stock broker asks, “How much have you got so far?”
The officer replies “About 75 gallons, but a lot of folks are still
siphoning.”

No, you’re misreading, sorta. Late 1994, when Bernstein claims she was depressed, is unarguably after July 1993.
I believe that this is undeniably a large hole in Hillary’s inevitability balloon. And from Carl Bernstein.
He could still be carrying the Clinton water here. Unless he has some evidence that she was taking anti-depressants, or was seeing a psychiatrist, he's merely repeating the unsubstantiated opinion of one man, David Gergen. All Hillary has to do is say it's a lie/smear, and she gets sympathy votes...unless someone can prove it's true. Since it doesn't sound like there's evidence for it, I'd expect a backlash about this. Bernstein's smart enough to know that unsubstantiated allegations usually backfire; which leads me back to my first point that he's carrying her water.

“Did you find that Monica hanging out in the Oval office was depressing?”
“Did your husband’s impeachment make you depresed?”
“Did your husbands repeated denial of rape accusations make you depressed?”
“Were you depressed after you had Vince shot”
“Did you find Web’s conviction depressimg”
Its amazing that this book will even see the light of day or that its author would write it in the first place. They must think there is a net positive for Hillary in there somewhere?
