I’m not saying China is not a problem, nor a serious issue to deal with, but what does Hunter’s attack on Romney re China accomplish?
It’s a low blow and will go nowhere.
I prefer your approach. I'd feel better about what Mr. Hunter said if he'd called on all of his fellow candidates to make a similar comment. In that case, he wouldn't be calling on Mr. Romney to try to exercise control over the company that he left. That part is what bothers me.

I am all for holding China to account and letting them get away with nothing, but this is disappointing.
I am starting to see the writing on the wall. Nobody else gets it. So-Cons remain divided (back-biting each other) = Rudy wins.
It is klutzy, to say the least, RedGirl. Up until yesterday when I got this ping, I had thought of Romney and Hunter as being complementary and that they would be a good ticket.
I have hung in there with Duncan as long as possible, but he has been so lackluster since the first 2 or 3 debates. I think it was the 3rd debate when he closed with his peanut gallery comment to Giuliani, Romney and McCain, calling them “the Ted Kennedy wing of the Repubican Party.” Ruh roh, I thought.
Hunter has one or two notes that he sings over and over, doesn’t say anything original in the debates so he is not memorable to the voters who do not already know him.
I still see Romney as ultimately the nominee.
Romney says he wants a partnership with Red China (in fact, I did a thread about this awhile back), when Red China is already cheating, and China’s cheating is why we have mega billion trade imbalance with Red China each year.
Romney, and some of the others are naive about Red China, and I’m sure glad that Duncan Hunter is keeping them honest.
