Pitches in the dirt McGruff, pitches in the dirt.

Their pitching is getting old and tired isn’t it.

It has to do with the fact he's boring and recites the same tired nonsense of most of the other candidates.

Either you or I must inhabit a whole 'nother universe, because I can't remember the last time I was as enthused about a candidate for President as I am about Fred Thompson. I certainly wasn't for either one of the Bushes, though I voted for both.

Probably, I'd have to go back to Ronald Reagan, whose photograph still hangs above my desk. I'd happily exchange it for one of President Thompson.

And here you are calling this most exciting man, brimming with solid conservative policy initiatives, boring. I think you must be tuned in to the twilight zone. I suggest that you ought to check in for a frequency adjustment.

Hate to tell you, but THompson’s demeanor and low key boring Grandfatherly way is the reason I love him. For crying out loud, this country has had enough of “energetic”, hyperkinetic leaders all out there polling and responding with ‘war rooms”.

I long for a good ole Reagan or Eisenhower. Someone who knows what the presidency is, who approaches it with gravity. Not as a contest to poll and win. But as a position of trust and grave importance.

Fred is a grown up and I like that.

We are on the same page.

Fred’s campaign slogan ought to be “Bring back a grownup to the WH”

Now I love GWB and think history will be very kind to him and think he may have been the only man who could have stood up to the dem machine and media and done the job that needed doing these last eight years.

But the country could use a grandfatherly man, a serious man, in the WH

Good Friend of mine, watched the event on Wed. She is a Fredhead field volunteer from Tampa. She threw her shoe at the TV when Fred’s video at the debate was an attack ad. Now don’t shoot the messenger her folks, I was praying that Fred would be different too. (And I am still hoping against hope that he might.. some day...”)

“Who’s advising these people, what is going on? HOW COULD HIS ADVSISERS BE SO STUPID?”

To which I replied: “What else would you expect when your top campaign political adviser sleeps with James Carville?”

She has not yet taken off her Fred button. I wonder how many gut punches (from Fred) it will take? Don't bother defending the content of the attack video. Even Republican partisans know that a vision for the future is what the American people are hungry for.

Sure, but he dropped off the radar screen immediately after his big push when he first entered. And the further out of the public eye he got, the further down the polls he dropped. He needs to make sure he’s out there being talked about every day.

Last night I had a good friend who has been a Tancredo supporter admit that it might be best if we are united for Thompson at the caucus rather than be splintered all over the place. I agreed. Perhaps we have three more Thompson supporters. It’s not easy to change your mind. Tancredo does deserve respect.

recites the same tired nonsense of most of the other candidates.

The very fact that he repeats the same principles over and over are what is appealing. Fred is not changing anything for whomever is doing the interviewing or the crowd he is addressing. This is the reason he is the "consistent" conservative. Go, Fred, go!!!

Your personal fable is just swell, and indicative of nothing. You’re so full of Romney that it’s coming out your ears. It smells suspiciously like something I scooped out of my cat’s litter box.

Fred used a Ruger Red Label over-and-under in his charity shoots. About $1700 worth of shotgun, that one.
