Tehran, 29 Nov. (AKI) - The word 'women' must now be replaced on Iranian state television by 'family', reformist Norouz news agency reports.
In programmes broadcast throughout the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women last Sunday, Iranian state TV used the world family instead.
In recent weeks, Iran's Centre for the Participation of Women changed its name to the Centre for Family Matters.
At the time of former reformist president, Mohammad Khatami, the centre was set up within the president's office.
Khatami was president of Iran from 1997 to 2005.

Iran: Use of the word 'women' banned from state TV Why don't they use the femi-nazi inspired "wymyn"?

I LIKE IT!
families’ rights
family’s restroom
familiy’s night out
family’s work
family’s libbers
familinazis(?)
family’s lockerroom
two piece family swimsuit
family-flic
This could get a little confusing.

The word “daughter” itself is an Indo-European word which also includes the Persian (Farsi) language. In Persian doukhtar (daughter) means both a girl and a daughter.

I assure you, the country as a whole is NOT an Ahmanutjob-ville, just the illegitimate regime controlling it. The people are just hostages as many other hostages of that regime from its very inception.

The word 'women' must now be replaced on Iranian state television by 'family' I went on a date with a beautiful woman...er...family last weekend.
Can't put my finger on it, but somehow something is lost in this replacement it seems.

The mullahs have erased the second sex from history. Where is the Western feminist outrage at the regime's treatment of women? (sound of crickets chirping)

Thats because Bush can't have them arrested and chop their heads off
after being raped by every guard for 6-months. Cowardice has it's privileges in America.

Thank you for your response, Nachum. I appreciate your sentiments. As many in my own family have suffered under the degeneracy of this fascist regime, I try my best to make people aware of the distinction between the mullah regime and the vast majority of Iranian people who absolutely loathe these un-Iranian, anti-Iranian usurpers.

In Arabic it would be “bint”, but Farsi is the likely language in this case.

The only resaon this dysfunctional, irrelevant culture still exists is by sitting on lakes of oil that the whackos insist we haul half-way around the world instead of producing closer to home - it certainly is not by accomplishment or effort.
