It sure looked like a targeted attempt at a political assassination of Hunter to me. It failed miserablybut it leaves me wondering why Hillary would be trying to take out a “second tier” candidate like Hunter.

One reason could be that Hunter is saying nasty things about her Chicom money men in Beijing.

Because he’s the most dangerous of the Republican candidates. He’s not afraid to face anybody on the Floor.

Let’s be honest, though. Hunter may be a second-tier Presidential candidate, but he is probably getting serious consideration as a VP or cabinet member from at least one of the frontrunners (if I were to guess I’d say Thompson, but that’s just a wild guess).

He’s obviously enough of a threat to make an impact in the next administration that Hillary feels the need to take him down.

I doubt Hillary was trying to take out Hunter. Maybe they were hoping for a poor response from some other people. Maybe this guy has it in for Hunter personally.

At any rate, CNN is a stealth Hillary Station.

I was really disappointed that they gave so few questions to Hunter. I think he handles himself very well in responses and would be a formidible candidate.

I hate to say this, but Hunter has been relegated to third tier status by people who should recognize his views as top tier. It’s a real shame that party members haven’t been able to recognize his value, and that makes it’s a real bell weather moment for the Republican party IMO.

What do we stand for as Conservatives, if not Congressman Duncan Hunter and his views?

If we’ve come to the point as a party, that a man of this value can be relegated to third tier status then God save the Republic, for we never will.

I don't think it was so much aimed at Hunter as it was aimed at conservatives as a whole. Hunter being a very consistent, steady conservative as well as chairman of the Armed Forces committee and a veteran would naturally give a straight forward answer that likely Mrs Clinton believed she could use to twist to later attack all conservatives.

Which makes me think, do the Dems know about some internal polls which places Hunter higher than what we’re hearing from MSM?

Hunter has all the strong essentials of a candidate who gives the most convincing arguments and is not in fear to take them on. And they fear the military service of him and his son and his obvious knowledge and capabilities in impressing people. Duncan Hunter is most certainly their worst nightmare.

Strategically Duncan Hunter is the greatest threat to a Hillery victory, all the other candidates are weak ideologically and offer no really seperate alternatives on several conservative issues to the Hillery campaign.

This was an attempt to torpedo Duncan, but it backfired!

Now let the grassroots evolution begin , PLEASE!

Hunter for President!!!!
